A good end to the week!

I went out this morning and when I returned this afternoon, I found that Credit Agricole had gone up to €4.64 so I sold my floating shares for a profit. It is my intention to buy back if the sp falls to about €4.30! So I will have to wait and see what happens in the coming weeks.
I also found that BMR had gone up so I sold my floating BMR shares and bought some more TSTR shares at 0.475p! I will sell theseif the sp goes above 0.5p and either buy back into BMR or RRR or VOG. I would like to improve my holding in RRR but the sp is not very volatile and the spread is frequently about 10% so it is difficult to trade them. However, it would reduce my average a lot and they recently issued a good RNS on the exploration of iron ore in Greenland!
In one month I have increased my floating share fund by 13.6% by buying and selling carefully and not expecting huge returns but fairly modest ones!

Exciting Day!

I have been a little busy of late but yesterday I had a few moments to look at the market and was pleasantly surprised. After Tuesday's results from Credit Agricole which weren't very good, yesterday saw Victoria Oil and Gas shares move up a little so I sold a few and bought some TSTR shares for 0.475p. It was the first trade of the day so I was pleased to get them at such a good price. I then went out and on my return sold the TSTR shares and bought some BMR shares late in the day.
Also on my CFD account I made some dosh on Credit Agricole and also XEL! So all in all, a very satisfactory day netting a reasonable profit! I would like to repeat the performance as and when basically keeping between TSTR, VOG and BMR!

Credit Agricole

Like I said earlier this week the share is climbing prior to the half year results next Tuesday. It dropped on Monday but climbed back up and is now going strong. Three trading days to go before results so it will be interesting to see what the sp gets to before and after the half year results! It is interesting to note that Credit Agricole are the only institutional investor in Berkeley Mineral Resources!
Victoria Oil and Gas are still bogged down below 3p and I don't see much movement in the sp before Novemeber! Tedious but patience is required.

Last days of summer!!

As we stagger towards the end of August, there is a little movement in shares but not a lot happening with my AIM shares! Despite there being a lot of info about BMR in the press at the weekend, the sp has moved less than 5%! The 6p warrants expire on the 24th October 2012 so approximately 2 months to get the sp above 6p or the warrants will expire! I am not holding my breath on this one!
Credit Agricole have been rising steadily since the announcement of its sale of Greek bank. Also next Tuesday 28th, is the half year results so I am expecting the rise to continue up to results day, we shall see!
Not much action on VOG or TSTR so I am still waiting like many shareholders. It is interesting to note how many people say on the BBs that their pf has been in the red for 18 months! I also get the feeling that many people are frustrated with what they perceive as a rigged market on AIM. I have no idea whether it is rigged but if the LIBOR market was rigged then there is no reason why AIM isn't rigged.

Berkeley Mineral Resources PLC

Berkeley Mineral Resources PLC issued an RNS this morning stating that they had bought all the remaining rights at Kabwe. It left me cold as it is still acquiring assets but not producing any revenue!! However, the key part for me was that tests were progressing by Yunnan Xiangyun Feilong Nonferrous Metal Company ("Feilong") on ways of processing lead and zinc. Maybe we might start generating some cash by the end of the next millenium! The market was about as impressed as myself and a small 7% rise was all it generated.
Despite a huge number of shares traded yesterday Victoria Oil and Gas after a good RNS, the sp finished slightly up. Whilst I was heartened, I think realistically it will be the end of the year before we see any rerating of the sp.

Victoria Oil and Gas (VOG)

I think we had a good RNS from Victoria Oil and Gas (VOG) this morning. It was a letter from Kevin Foo clearly laying out where the company is and what problems it has been facing. It gives me confidence that the company is going in the right direction and in due course I will make some money!! It will be interesting to see what the market thinks today!

Yesterday there was a flurry of activity from TSTR and the sp went up to 0.55p at one point. It finished with a 14% increase on the day and it would be nice if it continued today. There was no news but quite a few sizeable buys!

Post Holiday!!

I have been away on holiday for a few weeks and on my return I find not a lot has happened really!!! VOG, BMR and TSTR all languishing in the doldrums! There seems to be more talk of a takeover being likely on BMR but if it is taken over, I can't see the price being as high as some would like! Currently the MCap is £34M and the assets are supposed to be worth £10BN, .However, a lot of money needs to be invested before any money is generated. Last October they issued an RNS saying that slimes would be sold in Q1. Well we are nearly a year on and not one penny of revenue has been raised!
TSTR issued an RNS the other day saying that they would be providing technical advice to RDP ingapore on its antimony project in Burma. I see this as a good sign but the sp still languishes below 0.5p so no great shakes there.
I had bought some more Credit Agricole shares and before I went away I put a limit order in for €3.65! When I came back it had been actioned but the sp had continued to rise to €4.00. So I made a small profit but could have made more! I would have been better off not to have traded the shares as originally I bought some at €2.89 so if I had held onto them I would be doing nicely now! The benefits of hindsight!
This afternoon BMR issued an RNS stating that they had agreed terms for more Chingola dumps and as a result the sp went up a little! Could do, with it at least doubling!
