Tristar Resources TSTR

Super RNS from TSTR this morning! They feel able to recover gold in their proposed roaster at the rate of 35gmw/tonne on a 500,000 tonne/annum basis! I am looking forward to seeing how they progress in 2014.
Berkeley Minerals BMR posted info on their media centre that they are starting testing their leaching and copper cementation plant so at last they are doing something.
Interesting that nothing has happened to either sp so no big excitement for Christmas.
Could 2014 be a good year?

Berkeley Mineral Resources BMR

I haven't posted for a while due to illness but now BMR entered into an agreement with a Chinese company. On the face of it, this is good news as it should enable BMR to process the ore in Zambia and no doubt the Chinese will want a bit more action than we have seen so far! The AGM is on the 23 Dec and I have another appointment on that day otherwise I would have liked to have gone. I hope something positive comes from it as the sp is currently languishing between 2 and 2.5p. All the talk of generating loads of revenue has been just that - loads of talk! Be nice if the sp finished the year above 5p but I am not holding my breath!

Victoria Oil and Gas  VOG have had the result of the arbitration so now Mr Grynberg should be contributing cash or he will be in default! The sp has started to move slowly north but it has a long way to go to get to my exit point of 10p!
Tristar Resources TSTR are building up for some excitement in 2014 if they everything signed off in Oman. Emin Eyi has moved out to the Middle East so I expect to see the sp move up in the new year.

A Long Time doing nothing!!!

It has been another week and not a lot has happened to my shares, even my Natixis are stuck!! Tristar Resources are starting to make a move northwards but generally everything is staying the same! There are very few RNS and this time of the year is generally when things start to kick off with results and positive outlooks! To relieve the boredom I have even been doing some forex trading on the EUR/USD and even that is just trading in a range! It is as if the financial world is waiting for something to happen! Perhaps that something is the Spanish govt asking for a bailout! Time to be patient and wait until something happens!

TriStar Resources

Today, TriStar Resources issued an RNS regarding their interim results! Basically it was saying nothing new and the main activity at the moment was seeking funds to develop the facility at Goynuk and progress the roaster site at RAK! My view is that this share isn't going anywhere fast but in the fullness of time, when the roaster is up and running then the sp could be in double figures. How long that will take I have no idea, so its a share to buy now and put in the bottom drawer for a while!

Frustration creeping in!

I have noticed a fair amount of frustration creeping into the BBs lately. This seems to be because there is an expectation of the sp rising but being held back by the MMs for some reason. On BMR last night many people were getting cock-a-hoop that the sp would be pushing 4p, 5p etc today but after a little flourish this morning, the sp actually dropped!
TSTR has dropped recently as someone sold 4M shares but really we are just waiting for news regarding the roaster at RAK and the sp should get to at least 1p. Orogen gold are waiting for drill results but someone keeps selling 500k and 100k blocks of shares so the sp remains fairly static!
My major holding, VOG, is producing gas and should be making money but the sp lies around the 3p mark when it should be at least 5p at the moment.
There is little anyone can do about it except wait patiently!
The bright aspect of my pf is my French shares Credit Agricole and Natixis are both positive today and with good news from the ECB, I have every hope that they will do better. It isn't all bad!
Well Natixis went up to €2.35 so I took the opportunity to sell and realise some profit! It may continue to go up but then again it may not!! Also Credit Agricole went over €5 so slowly getting back to my buy in price!

Orogen Gold (ORE)

I took the opportunity this morning to sell the TSTR shares I bought on Friday for a small profit and then set about trying to buy either BMR, RRR or VOG. I didn't have any success with my Fill or Kill orders so I took some time to see  what else was suitable. Eventually I settled on Orogen Gold (ORE) as I had been in these in 2011. At that time I bought at 0.83 and sold at 1.03. Today I bought some at 0.608p and am looking forward to an RNS shortly on their latest drilling at Deli Jovan.
It would be nice to get an RNS next Monday but like everything, who knows.
This is an interesting link regarding the site at Deli Jovan

A good end to the week!

I went out this morning and when I returned this afternoon, I found that Credit Agricole had gone up to €4.64 so I sold my floating shares for a profit. It is my intention to buy back if the sp falls to about €4.30! So I will have to wait and see what happens in the coming weeks.
I also found that BMR had gone up so I sold my floating BMR shares and bought some more TSTR shares at 0.475p! I will sell theseif the sp goes above 0.5p and either buy back into BMR or RRR or VOG. I would like to improve my holding in RRR but the sp is not very volatile and the spread is frequently about 10% so it is difficult to trade them. However, it would reduce my average a lot and they recently issued a good RNS on the exploration of iron ore in Greenland!
In one month I have increased my floating share fund by 13.6% by buying and selling carefully and not expecting huge returns but fairly modest ones!

Exciting Day!

I have been a little busy of late but yesterday I had a few moments to look at the market and was pleasantly surprised. After Tuesday's results from Credit Agricole which weren't very good, yesterday saw Victoria Oil and Gas shares move up a little so I sold a few and bought some TSTR shares for 0.475p. It was the first trade of the day so I was pleased to get them at such a good price. I then went out and on my return sold the TSTR shares and bought some BMR shares late in the day.
Also on my CFD account I made some dosh on Credit Agricole and also XEL! So all in all, a very satisfactory day netting a reasonable profit! I would like to repeat the performance as and when basically keeping between TSTR, VOG and BMR!

Last days of summer!!

As we stagger towards the end of August, there is a little movement in shares but not a lot happening with my AIM shares! Despite there being a lot of info about BMR in the press at the weekend, the sp has moved less than 5%! The 6p warrants expire on the 24th October 2012 so approximately 2 months to get the sp above 6p or the warrants will expire! I am not holding my breath on this one!
Credit Agricole have been rising steadily since the announcement of its sale of Greek bank. Also next Tuesday 28th, is the half year results so I am expecting the rise to continue up to results day, we shall see!
Not much action on VOG or TSTR so I am still waiting like many shareholders. It is interesting to note how many people say on the BBs that their pf has been in the red for 18 months! I also get the feeling that many people are frustrated with what they perceive as a rigged market on AIM. I have no idea whether it is rigged but if the LIBOR market was rigged then there is no reason why AIM isn't rigged.

Victoria Oil and Gas (VOG)

I think we had a good RNS from Victoria Oil and Gas (VOG) this morning. It was a letter from Kevin Foo clearly laying out where the company is and what problems it has been facing. It gives me confidence that the company is going in the right direction and in due course I will make some money!! It will be interesting to see what the market thinks today!

Yesterday there was a flurry of activity from TSTR and the sp went up to 0.55p at one point. It finished with a 14% increase on the day and it would be nice if it continued today. There was no news but quite a few sizeable buys!

Post Holiday!!

I have been away on holiday for a few weeks and on my return I find not a lot has happened really!!! VOG, BMR and TSTR all languishing in the doldrums! There seems to be more talk of a takeover being likely on BMR but if it is taken over, I can't see the price being as high as some would like! Currently the MCap is £34M and the assets are supposed to be worth £10BN, .However, a lot of money needs to be invested before any money is generated. Last October they issued an RNS saying that slimes would be sold in Q1. Well we are nearly a year on and not one penny of revenue has been raised!
TSTR issued an RNS the other day saying that they would be providing technical advice to RDP ingapore on its antimony project in Burma. I see this as a good sign but the sp still languishes below 0.5p so no great shakes there.
I had bought some more Credit Agricole shares and before I went away I put a limit order in for €3.65! When I came back it had been actioned but the sp had continued to rise to €4.00. So I made a small profit but could have made more! I would have been better off not to have traded the shares as originally I bought some at €2.89 so if I had held onto them I would be doing nicely now! The benefits of hindsight!
This afternoon BMR issued an RNS stating that they had agreed terms for more Chingola dumps and as a result the sp went up a little! Could do, with it at least doubling!

At last!!!!!!!!!!

At last, TSTR have issued an RNS!! This gives an operational update on its activities worldwide and generally was very positive. It will be interesting to see what the market makes of it all. For me the key things were lots of antimony, readily available; JV partner ready with $30M and permission to build local processor.
PINN also issued an RNS this morning on gaining the contract again for the BBC Big Weekend and highlighting its part in the Queen's Jubilee. That might go some way to explaining the surge in sp yesterday afternoon!

Change of direction!

On Friday I sold a load of TSTR shares and opened a CFD account with the proceeds. I had a CFD account some years ago and lost a lot of money through not understanding about trading. Since then I have learned a lot, often the hard way, and so this morning I opened a CFD trade on Victoria Oil and Gas at 2.9p with 100000 shares. It seems to me that unless I am very unlucky, the sp will rise upto and past the delivery and charging of gas in June/July. As the last placing was at 3p, I think that I have got in at a good time. So, I now have 200k shares and 100k shares on CFD. I still have TSTR shares and we should have some news in the next fortnight.
My plan is that if I can make a profit on my CFD account, I will take my original stake out and just trade on the profit! Time will tell, I will keep you updated!

Berkeley Mineral Resources PLC

Berkeley Mineral Resources PLC issued an interesting RNS today stating they have a Memorandum of Understanding with a Chinese company to enter a Joint Venture to process the lead and zinc tailings at Kabwe! On the face of it, it is really good news which goes some way to explain the rise in sp yesterday! However, the sp has fallen today when you could be forgiven for thinking that it would have continued to rise  on the RNS. Just goes to show how many investors are very sceptical about investing in BMR when so many of them have lost money in the past! I had out go out this morning before the market opened so I put in a sell order only to find that when I returned some hours later the sp had gone down!
Yesterday there was a massive decline in VOG shares and the sp closed at 2.7p! I tried to sell some of my TSTR shares to buy more VOG but my Kill and fill order got rejected! Today the sp has gone back up to 2.79p so I would have been in profit! That's the way it goes I suppose!

TriStar Resources

I recently sold a load of TSTR shares and bought more VOG shares. However, with the markets being a bit grim, I sold the VOG shares I bought with the TSTR money and bought TSTR shares!! I sold the TSTR at 0.88p and today bought them at 0.8175p. In the process I got 4000 extra TSTR shares and 400 extra VOG shares all for the same position as I started!
Also there are only 11 trading days left before there should be an RNS from TSTR so I am hoping that my investment will start to pay off. I now have 566k TSTR shares and 200k VOG shares.

TriStar Resources

TriStar Resources are doing OK these days compared to many other shares! Currently up 15% on no news but when are we going to get some news? Surely we will get some by the end of June as it is long overdue.
I got bored with waiting to buy some more BMR shares and bought some VOG instead. I think that in June VOG is going to switch on gas to customers and start to see the sp rise. So I just bought some more at 3.42p my cheapest yet and bringing down my average. I have nearly 200k VOG shares and my target sell price is 10p. Patience is needed but it is boring!!

Elections!!!

After the elections in France and Greece the markets have dropped a lot and all my shares except PINN and TSTR have lost ground. We are still waiting for the elusive RNS for TSTR!! It may be next week but it may be next month, year, millenium!! Antimony is getting rarer and nthe sooner we know what is happening with TSTR the better.
Interesting to note that PINN have engaged Newgate Threadneedle to do some PR for them as they are part of PTCM. I was invested in them but sold out some time ago at a loss.I shall keep an eye on them!

Berkeley Mineral Resources PLC,continue do do nothing! We are waiting for a JORC and Feasability Study to see where it is going but in the meantime the sp has dropped a lot! I can't see any significant movement in sp until they start selling some slimes and it wouldn't surprise me if this was still less than 6p by year end!

TriStar Resources

The tension is mounting as we surely must be getting closer to an RNS! The sp is rising slowly and the shares I bought last week at 0.79 are already in profit as the sp is currently hovering around 0.84p! The market seems to be subdued at the moment after the elections in France and Greece and lots of shares are down, except TSTR. There has been a lot of press comment lately about shortage of Antimony and a fair amount of comment about TSTR going into production so as soon as it is confirmed via RNS then the sp out to increase! When will it be?????

TriStar Resources

News must be soon for TriStar Resources and so I bought 262k shares yesterday in anticipation. I got the shares at 0.794p and the mid close was 0.81p so I was happy with that. Last year they issued year end results on 26th April so they are a little overdue now PLUS there is still the question of the JORC for Goynuk as a minimum! There are very few shares in free float so given some news, the sp should move well. The trouble is TSTR are not noted for issuing many RNS! They have got better with their website and that is now more informative and more professional but we could do with some news!

Bank Holiday!!

Its Bank Holiday in France for May 1st and in London, it continues to be doom and gloom!
Problems with Spain, Lloyds and BP are not helping and with my shares not a lot is happening.
Still waiting for TSTR to issue an RNS on Goynuk, when are they going to do that????? Come on Mr Eyi get your act together and let us know what is in the ground!
BMR are drifting downwards with no news about moving the company forward. Some people are happy that news is forthcoming but how they can be sure of that is beyond me. Until there is some positive money generating news, I don't see BMR doing anything other than range trading.
VOG is a little on the quiet side at the moment, just getting on with finishing off the pipeline I hope and with any luck, come end of May or June we should be pumping gas to customers!
PINN have recently started a forum ,on their website although it is a bit like joining a secret society. I have got past the first step and am now waiting for the next bit!
Redrock Resources have perked up a bit of late but still have a long way to go for me to break even!

I want to sell BMR and TSTR vy end of May and put my money into VOG and something else for the summer. "Sell in May and stay away". I will return in September when the market picks up. However, I will keep a little money to take advantage of anything that comes along.
