Berkeley Mineral Resources PLC

Well we finally got the long awaited RNS today!! What a disappointment!!
They have not been able to sell any slimes to anyone! They haven't got the LSML! They haven't got the JORC completed for the whole of Kabwe!!
In short a disaster and as a result the sp fell this morning. There is a considerable amount of shareholder disgruntlement which is matched by some people saying "great I can top up". Both viewpoints are valid but for the long term future of BMR, Masoud Alikhani has to do better!!!

No RNS for Tristar Resources this morning which was disappointing but the sp is holding up well and volume is also increasing! Perhaps we will get an RNS next week, lol!

TriStar Resources TSTR

After a good move on Monday, yesterday was a little disappointing but to day we are on the move again. There was a delayed trade of over 2M shares at 0.94p so someone is confident or knows something! News is not far off and tomorrow or Friday we should have a JORC!!
Berkeley Mineral Resources PLC still rumbles on with no news forthcoming! They have to be the world's worst at communication so I hope when we do get an RNS it will have the desired effect!
Good to see Victoria Oil and Gas (VOG) recovering a bit! From dropping below 4p earlier in the week it is now showing blue with an sp of 4.2p. I would like to see this above 6p by the middle of the year. An RNS saying that the pipeline was finished and more customers were connected and using gas would do wonders for the sp!!
Interesting to note that the Market Size on BMR has changed from 100k to 200k shares!! Why, I have no idea but interesting. 

Red Rock Resources RRR

After my comments in my Weekly Roundup, RRR issued an RNS this morning for its half year results! It was a bit of a mixed picture which at the end of the day was enough to drop the sp!!! Sales of minerals sold were up and profitable but because the value of its shares in Jupiter Mines had dropped substantially, RRR's profitability was down. They see 2012 and 2013 as good for Jupiter and Red Rock so it is a back burner share now. Good price to top up now and forget about.
TriStar Resources, TSTR, on the other hand were up 12% this morning in anticipation of results being announced this week. Lots of volume traded and new people getting into the share hoping for good news this week. Last week the sp was 0.67, this morning it was 0.86p!! Bring on a super JORC this week!

Weekly Roundup!

There are signs that things may be about to boom next week! BMR and  TSTR should both issue RNS next week and both could give a significant increase in sp! TSTR should be issuing a JORC and BMRhave a whole raft of topics to deal with via RNS!! Whether any of it comes to pass is anyone's guess!
VOG went a bit funny towards the end of the week! From reaching 5p, it suddenly started falling and hit 4.18p before recovering a little. Probably people tired of waiting and taking some profit from the week before. The pipeline is nearing completion and in Q2 VOG should be supplying gas to more customers.
FRR and RRR are very much in the doldrums and I can see me holding these for quite some time as there is nothing to indicate anything startling happening in the near future!!!
PINN has been moving up and down a little and it didn't help that they had their air conditioning heat exchangers stolen!! They have offered a series of shareholder events and I think that is good PR so I may buy some more when funds appear!
Looking forward to seeing what happens next week!

Boring!!!

I am still waiting for news on Berkeley Mineral Resources and Tristar Resources but nothing!!! The market or at least my shares seem to be non moving and it is very boring! News is due by end of March so not really much time to wait but boring nevertheless! I try not to get excited about whether there is an RNS out when I get up, in the morning but it is disappointing to find one has not been issued!  Still there's always tomorrow!!!
Today a very interesting broker note was published on TSTR suggesting a target price of 3.8p!!! Looking forward to seeing a JORC RNS soon!

No News!!

Yesterday was a boring day really. Although I didn't really expect any RNS it would have been nice. BMR and TSTR are due RNS and all things being equal the sp should improve. Which one will be first or will they come together like buses??
The sp on TSTR did move into the 0.7s so that is an improvement but a decent RNS should send it over 1p!
I am trying hard to resist the temptation to trade before an RNS appears but it is very difficult. Yesterday, I tried too sell TSTR to put into BMR but was unsuccessful. It is probably for the best but frustrating all the same!

I couldn't help myself!!! I sold the TSTR shares I bought the other day for a small profit and bought BMR  shares at 4.7p ! That probably means that TSTRwill have their RNS before BMR!!

Weekly Roundup

Firstly, I was rather surprised yesterday to get something spot on correct! Normally I sell too early or buy too high like lots of PIs but yesterday I sold at a peak! For the fourth time I had bought Central Rand Gold CRND shares an at the start of trading they appeared to be on the move so I put in a limit bid of 1.25p just for 1 day. About an hour later the order had been executed and I had sold for 1.251p, the high for the day!
Then I might have made a mistake! I was  torn between buying BMR, TSTR or CSH and finally settled for TSTR. However, I could have bought either of the other 2 and made a profit in the day and then bought TSTR at the end of the day! It is so much easier in hindsight!
I get the feeling that there is quite a lot of bullish sentiment in the market at the moment and next week I am hoping to sell all my BMR shares if we get a decent RNS and the sp hits 8.95p! Is that likely? Well it all depends on the RNS! Certainly people on the BBs are getting very excited but I am remaining cautious as things don't always go the way you expect.
In the next 2 weeks we should have a good RNS from TSTR and if the sp hit 1.5p then I would sell although I think with the right JORC RNS the sp could hit 2p!
I am then planning to buy Caspian holdings CSH and VOG with any profits. VOG is getting more and more press coverage and they are getting closer to completing their pipeline into Douala. Once that is complete then more customers will sign up and start taking gas.Also ther have been rumours of VOG selling some of its Russian business so I see it as a solid investment.
The next 2 weeks will be very interesting; I hope!!

TriStar Resources

I sold my Central Rand Gold shares this morning and tried to buy some TSTR. The indicated prices were 0.67/0.68p but TD Waterhouse wanted 0.7p as a Market order so I did a Fill or Kill order at 0.6p and got them at 0.678p so I was very happy. It reduces my average price to 0.83p and we should have an RNSby end of March so I am hopeful of making a profit soon. I now have over 500k shares so it would be nice to think the sp got to 2p on a good JORC but I am not holding my breath.
Berkeley Mineral Resources BMR are starting to bubble and were just over 5p yesterday before closing at 4.8p. There is a meeting of the Zambian CPPC today and if the Large Scale Mining Licence is transferred then the sp ought to improve. BMR issued an RNS today regarding warrants being taken up, not a large amount but an indicator that further RNS are about to appear.
My dream scenario would be for BMR to pop and me to sell and put into TSTR.  Then for them to pop and put into VOG. Then for then to pop and put into CSH!! Dreaming, I know but you never know!

Victoria Oil and Gas (VOG)

Well yesterday was slightly disappointing as the sp went to 5.05p then finally closed at 4.43p! However, that is better than it has been all year so mustn't grumble. There were 114M shares traded and obviously, interest in VOG is building. Share prices never move in straight lines so if this is part of a steady rise to double figures I will be happy.
Berkeley Mineral Resources continue to wait for an RNS and the sp is doing very little really. The same can be said for Tristar Resources, where the sp remains flat regardless of what else happens. Both companies are due RNS by end of the month!

Victoria Oil and Gas (VOG)

What a day yesterday! The sp closed at 4.05 on Monday and yesterday the sp touched 4.75p  before closing at 4.61p. 68M shares traded and on no news just info in the press. I hope the upward pressure continues and we get to double figures soon! The only fly in the ointment is Jack Grynberg of RGM! RGM had a stake in the operations in Logbaba but refused to pay its share in the costs to develop the resource and as such forfeited its share in the Logbaba operation. Now that it is up and running and selling gas RGM have gone to arbitration on the matter.Mr Grynberg is well known for his litigation and it is an unwelcome distraction at the moment.The coming days and weeks will tell whether it is serious or not.

Weekly Roundup

Its been a funny week really, with lots of pent up excitement but not a lot actually happening.
Everyone is still excited about BMR and when they will release a string of RNS but I can't see it for a week or two yet. As a result the sp has been unexciting with opportunities to top up if you have the cash!
On Friday there was a lot of trading on VOG with over 59M shares traded! Apparently there is supposition that they may be selling their Russian oil business! We will have to wait and see but it could be interesting as Dragon Oil just pulled out of its bid for Bowleven.
A slight rally on the TSTR front as there is only 2 weeks before they are likely to issue a JORC on the antimony at Goynuk.
Also PINN has been holding up well and many people expect the next set of results to be very good as a result of the Olympics!

Caspian Holdings CSH

Bit of sp movement today so I took the opportunity to sell my CSH for the moment and bought some more BMR shares. I am hoping that BMR is going to move north a little and then will get back into CSH. I think by mid April CSH may have something to report on its drilling at La Parilla mine.
BMR is supposed to get its large scale mining licence soon but I am not holding my breath!

A Day of RNS

Yesterday my inbox was assaulted by RNS!!
The first one of interest was from Berkeley Mineral Resources PLC. This should have been a JORC RNS as Masoud Alikhani said that a JORC on Kabwe would be issued by end of Feb! It wasn't!!!!!!!!!! Instead, all we got was more jam tomorrow tosh! The slimes are supposed to be sold in Q1 but I am almost certain that there is no way they will be sold in Q1 and if that is the case then more fairy stories from Mr Alikhani!

The next one was from Tristar Resources and was interesting! They reckon that there is sufficient evidence of antimony to be able to continue to a Bankable Feasibility Study for a roaster in UAR. Whilst this is good news in itself; it means that when a JORC RNS is released then it should be good.


Next was and interim financial statement for Victoria Oil and Gas (VOG) and they main points here were post period developments. For me the key statement was "I believe that 2012 will be a year of major developments for the Company as we make the transition from explorer to producer and generate positive cash flows." so maybe 2012 will see VOG get into double figure on its sp

I also had RNS from Red Rock Resources and Alternative Energy Ltd, both dealing with equity. The RRR one immediately depressed the sp!!

So could be some interesting times in the next few months but it is all going a little too slowly for me!
