Berkeley Mineral Resources BMR

I haven't posted for a while due to illness but now BMR entered into an agreement with a Chinese company. On the face of it, this is good news as it should enable BMR to process the ore in Zambia and no doubt the Chinese will want a bit more action than we have seen so far! The AGM is on the 23 Dec and I have another appointment on that day otherwise I would have liked to have gone. I hope something positive comes from it as the sp is currently languishing between 2 and 2.5p. All the talk of generating loads of revenue has been just that - loads of talk! Be nice if the sp finished the year above 5p but I am not holding my breath!

Victoria Oil and Gas  VOG have had the result of the arbitration so now Mr Grynberg should be contributing cash or he will be in default! The sp has started to move slowly north but it has a long way to go to get to my exit point of 10p!
Tristar Resources TSTR are building up for some excitement in 2014 if they everything signed off in Oman. Emin Eyi has moved out to the Middle East so I expect to see the sp move up in the new year.

Last post of 2012!

Well the world hasn't ended as some predicted but not a lot has happened with many of my shares!
VOG issued an update RNS yesterday which was good, in that gas sales are increasing but there was slippage in amount of gas being suppplied and progress on the bank loan. I am still hopeful that one day VOG will come good. Kevin Foo has long held the view that he would like the company to be a mid cap company so about £350M Mcap. Based on shares issued of 2.8Billion then that would give an sp of 12.5p. I would be very happy with that!
My French share trading has been going well and I have gradually been increasing my holding in Natixis by trading the ups and downs. I will continue in this strategy as it seems to be working.
I don't know whether anything I have written has ever been of use to anyone but I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a prosperous new year!
See you in 2013!

More Good News!!!

Today I received an RNS from Pinnacle Telecom Group plc who gave a trading update! It didn't say a lot but just that when they announce their results in February they will be very good!
"The Board expects to report significant revenue growth for the full year ending 30thSeptember 2012, compared to FY 2011. The Board also expects to report significantly improved Operating profit performance for FY12, compared to FY11. "

The market was underwhelmed and the sp went down but it will be interesting to see what happens in the lead up to results on 18th Feb next year

Victoria Oil and Gas are starting to improve a little and I still live in hope that one day the sp will hit double figures!!! Perhaps 2013  will be the year!

It's good news day!!!

2 nice RNS this morning which I have no doubt, in the fullness of time, will send the sp up for the companies involved. Victoria Oil and Gas (VOG) issued an RNS on their AGM and an operational update for Seprember/October. Basically they are likely to have another 9 customers taking gas by the end of the year on top of the 6 that are currently taking gas. They also have 26 letters of intent for gas supply and 9 for power requirements. Once they announce that they have finance sorted then I am confident that the sp is going to go up dramatically as suddenly they will be in a snowball situation regarding customers taking gas.
Orogen Gold (ORE) also issued an RNS saying that they had negotiated $5M finance in drawdown facility to enable them to press on with exploring the Deli Jovan site for gold. For me they key bit of the RNS was "We look forward to updating shareholders shortly on the most recent drill and trench results from Deli Jovan."  It would be nice if they meant Monday!!!

At last some good news!!!!!!

After a couple of weeks of bad news, dilution from VOG, massive fall in Red Rock share due to Jupiter mines stopping iron ore works due to fall in iron ore prices,  general poor market conditions, today, Victoria Oil and Gas (VOG) issued an RNS giving some good news!!! They have had an independent gas market survey done on Douala and state that a company called Prometal has started using gas and can take up to 430000 cu ft gas per day so a good customer. Further more they have another 10 customers who are likely to be taking gas by the end of December.
One of the key comments I took from the report was the 100% growth per annum from 2012 to 2017!!  If that actually happened then the company would be making some super profits and the sp should be significantly higher. It will be interesting to see whether there is any movement in the sp and whether there will be a lot more sales of the recently issued shares!

Victoria Oil and Gas (VOG)

After the recent financial report for Victoria Oil and Gas  I took the decision to buy more shares as it seemed to me that it was a no brainer, that if VOG were buying 20 more gas units for customers then it was bound to be a good buy. Since then the sp has dropped and I can't understand why so today I rang VOG and asked if I could speak to Kevin Foo. To my surprise I had a 10 minute conversation with him, in which, he was very frank when I asked why the sp was where it was. Obviously, I didn't ask price sensitive information but he did give me a clear warts and all explanation of why he saw the sp where it was and what was needed for the sp to rise. I found it refreshing that he took the time to speak to me and explained why he thought the sp was where it was. At the end of the conversation I felt that I had made the right decision in buying more shares. As he is the largest individual shareholder, he is as keen as anyone that the sp goes up and reflect all that VOG have achieved in the last 3 and a half years. I see it as a matter of time now before the sp starts to rise. I have an average of just under 4p so I hope it goes above that before I pop my clogs!!

End of the line!!!

I have had a flurry of RNS and as a result I have sold my BMR shares! It is all a matter of confidence and I have zero confidence in Masoud Alikhani, especially after yesterday's RNS where he extended the warrants for the second time for another 6 months!!! So I sold up and put my money into VOG!
Some may question my decision but in VOG, I see a company who have worked hard to produce a business in Cameroon that will benefit the local economy and hopefully the shareholders. VOG issued their final results yesterday, which were not great but I live in hopes that this time next year things will be completely different. The sp fell on the results but I am looking to see the sp rise in the coming months.
Today, PINN issued a very positive RNS on its high speed internet trials in Cheltenham and this is another step in developing the company so well done PINN!

Red Rock Resources

Red Rock Resources issued an RNS today regarding the sale of its Columbian gold mine. This could be worth in excess of $2M to the company based on the original loan agreement but we will have to wait and see. It will be interesting to see how it affects the sp!
The RNS yesterday from VOG did little for the sp! It went up a bit but then settled back to where it closed! One of these days it will go up and stay up! The problem is that many staff were paid in shares and it may be that some are turning their shares into liquidity so until they have finished selling the sp will continue to languish!

Victoria Oil and Gas (VOG)

Last week was very boring really, most of my pf did nothing or went down but today Victoria Oil and Gas (VOG) issued a good RNS!!! They have a Competent Person's Report that confirms that they have 50% more reserves of gas at Logbaba! Hoorah! This was carried out to provide a credit facility with a top tier finance house. This should effectively remove the chunterings bout dilution for a while and may move the sp northwards!
Berkeley Mineral Resources PLC are still just above 3p and it wouldn't surprise me to see the sp fall into the 2p's before the AGM. There is very little volume and no news so there is nothing to drive the sp north!

Frustration creeping in!

I have noticed a fair amount of frustration creeping into the BBs lately. This seems to be because there is an expectation of the sp rising but being held back by the MMs for some reason. On BMR last night many people were getting cock-a-hoop that the sp would be pushing 4p, 5p etc today but after a little flourish this morning, the sp actually dropped!
TSTR has dropped recently as someone sold 4M shares but really we are just waiting for news regarding the roaster at RAK and the sp should get to at least 1p. Orogen gold are waiting for drill results but someone keeps selling 500k and 100k blocks of shares so the sp remains fairly static!
My major holding, VOG, is producing gas and should be making money but the sp lies around the 3p mark when it should be at least 5p at the moment.
There is little anyone can do about it except wait patiently!
The bright aspect of my pf is my French shares Credit Agricole and Natixis are both positive today and with good news from the ECB, I have every hope that they will do better. It isn't all bad!
Well Natixis went up to €2.35 so I took the opportunity to sell and realise some profit! It may continue to go up but then again it may not!! Also Credit Agricole went over €5 so slowly getting back to my buy in price!

Exciting Day!

I have been a little busy of late but yesterday I had a few moments to look at the market and was pleasantly surprised. After Tuesday's results from Credit Agricole which weren't very good, yesterday saw Victoria Oil and Gas shares move up a little so I sold a few and bought some TSTR shares for 0.475p. It was the first trade of the day so I was pleased to get them at such a good price. I then went out and on my return sold the TSTR shares and bought some BMR shares late in the day.
Also on my CFD account I made some dosh on Credit Agricole and also XEL! So all in all, a very satisfactory day netting a reasonable profit! I would like to repeat the performance as and when basically keeping between TSTR, VOG and BMR!

Credit Agricole

Like I said earlier this week the share is climbing prior to the half year results next Tuesday. It dropped on Monday but climbed back up and is now going strong. Three trading days to go before results so it will be interesting to see what the sp gets to before and after the half year results! It is interesting to note that Credit Agricole are the only institutional investor in Berkeley Mineral Resources!
Victoria Oil and Gas are still bogged down below 3p and I don't see much movement in the sp before Novemeber! Tedious but patience is required.

Last days of summer!!

As we stagger towards the end of August, there is a little movement in shares but not a lot happening with my AIM shares! Despite there being a lot of info about BMR in the press at the weekend, the sp has moved less than 5%! The 6p warrants expire on the 24th October 2012 so approximately 2 months to get the sp above 6p or the warrants will expire! I am not holding my breath on this one!
Credit Agricole have been rising steadily since the announcement of its sale of Greek bank. Also next Tuesday 28th, is the half year results so I am expecting the rise to continue up to results day, we shall see!
Not much action on VOG or TSTR so I am still waiting like many shareholders. It is interesting to note how many people say on the BBs that their pf has been in the red for 18 months! I also get the feeling that many people are frustrated with what they perceive as a rigged market on AIM. I have no idea whether it is rigged but if the LIBOR market was rigged then there is no reason why AIM isn't rigged.

Berkeley Mineral Resources PLC

Berkeley Mineral Resources PLC issued an RNS this morning stating that they had bought all the remaining rights at Kabwe. It left me cold as it is still acquiring assets but not producing any revenue!! However, the key part for me was that tests were progressing by Yunnan Xiangyun Feilong Nonferrous Metal Company ("Feilong") on ways of processing lead and zinc. Maybe we might start generating some cash by the end of the next millenium! The market was about as impressed as myself and a small 7% rise was all it generated.
Despite a huge number of shares traded yesterday Victoria Oil and Gas after a good RNS, the sp finished slightly up. Whilst I was heartened, I think realistically it will be the end of the year before we see any rerating of the sp.

Victoria Oil and Gas (VOG)

I think we had a good RNS from Victoria Oil and Gas (VOG) this morning. It was a letter from Kevin Foo clearly laying out where the company is and what problems it has been facing. It gives me confidence that the company is going in the right direction and in due course I will make some money!! It will be interesting to see what the market thinks today!

Yesterday there was a flurry of activity from TSTR and the sp went up to 0.55p at one point. It finished with a 14% increase on the day and it would be nice if it continued today. There was no news but quite a few sizeable buys!

Post Holiday!!

I have been away on holiday for a few weeks and on my return I find not a lot has happened really!!! VOG, BMR and TSTR all languishing in the doldrums! There seems to be more talk of a takeover being likely on BMR but if it is taken over, I can't see the price being as high as some would like! Currently the MCap is £34M and the assets are supposed to be worth £10BN, .However, a lot of money needs to be invested before any money is generated. Last October they issued an RNS saying that slimes would be sold in Q1. Well we are nearly a year on and not one penny of revenue has been raised!
TSTR issued an RNS the other day saying that they would be providing technical advice to RDP ingapore on its antimony project in Burma. I see this as a good sign but the sp still languishes below 0.5p so no great shakes there.
I had bought some more Credit Agricole shares and before I went away I put a limit order in for €3.65! When I came back it had been actioned but the sp had continued to rise to €4.00. So I made a small profit but could have made more! I would have been better off not to have traded the shares as originally I bought some at €2.89 so if I had held onto them I would be doing nicely now! The benefits of hindsight!
This afternoon BMR issued an RNS stating that they had agreed terms for more Chingola dumps and as a result the sp went up a little! Could do, with it at least doubling!

Some good news, some not so good....

I had 2 RNS today,1 from Victoria Oil and Gas and the other from Berkeley Mineral Resources . The one from VOG was great as they are now supplying gas to customers!! That means they are now generating cash and as more customers come on line they should begin to make a profit.
The 2nd from BMR was bad in that there are problems with the Due Diligence at Chingola and BMR have started looking at dumps at Ndola! It is about time they started doing something with all the stuff they have rather than looking form more. It reminds me a bit of old man Steptoe and his yard! As a result the sp dropped!

Things are not all bad!

Currently, I am trading on the LSE, Euronext and CFDs and when I switched my computer on this morning, I found that one of my Euronext shares, Ageas, was doing very well! I bought them 2 days ago at €1.33 and this morning they were trading at €1.46. I put in a sell order for €1.47 and the sp promptly went down. However, this afternoon the sp hit €1.47 and in fact hit €1.485 but I sold mine at €1.47 for 6.27% profit so I now have a buy order in for Credit Agricole for €3.10 so we will have to see. If Ageas sp drops back to the €1.30s then I will buy back in. This is the 3rd time I have traded this share and in March it was trading at €1.80.

VOG is still languishing below 3p and is very tedious! I live in hopes that one day soon it will be above 4p and once it gets above 5p then my shares will be in profit! However, if it got above 4p then I would be doing well with my CFDs! However, for the moment, I will content myself with a little profit from Belgium!

Victoria Oil and Gas (VOG)

Victoria Oil and Gas (VOG) updated their website with details of how they are progressing in Cameroon. My CFD trading on VOG is going slowly and I did make a small profit yesterday when the sp briefly flirted above 3p! I had previously taken out another 50k shares at 2.89p and sold them at 2.94p to get my first profit on the board. I was then able to buy them back later in the day for 2.9p. It will be interesting to see whether the sp moves above 3p today with the latest progress report and whether it can stay above 3p!

Change of direction!

On Friday I sold a load of TSTR shares and opened a CFD account with the proceeds. I had a CFD account some years ago and lost a lot of money through not understanding about trading. Since then I have learned a lot, often the hard way, and so this morning I opened a CFD trade on Victoria Oil and Gas at 2.9p with 100000 shares. It seems to me that unless I am very unlucky, the sp will rise upto and past the delivery and charging of gas in June/July. As the last placing was at 3p, I think that I have got in at a good time. So, I now have 200k shares and 100k shares on CFD. I still have TSTR shares and we should have some news in the next fortnight.
My plan is that if I can make a profit on my CFD account, I will take my original stake out and just trade on the profit! Time will tell, I will keep you updated!
