Exciting Times!!

Good news for USA yesterday and the market now seems to be very buoyant! I could have held my LDP longer as today they were 0.55p!! However, today there was an RNS from BMR regarding Masoud Alikhani buying more shares. This lifted the sp to start before it settled back down to a small rise. The key point is the ending of the moratorium on mining in Zambia at the end of January. The view is that the sp will rise then!
All of a sudden today there was a surge in the sp of TSTR and it hit 0.9p so I sold some of my shares and bought some more shares in BMR. There was no reason for the rise but hopefully we will get some news soon.
Finally, Greencore Group GNC changed from being listed in Euros to being listed in Sterling. It didn't make any diffenece to the sp but it did put us top of the LSE list with a rise of 8346%!!! I wish!

Porta Communications PTCM

Interesting RNS from Porta Communications this morning stating that they have acquired Hansard Communications. The deal is a cash and shares deal and as a result the sp went up a little this morning. It is good to see but I have a long way to go to breakeven (22p) so I am not getting very excited at the moment!

Shares in Leeds Petroleum, LDP are doing well and have been climbing steadily for a few days now. There is no solid news just some expectation. I don't have many shares and am now just in profit but need a lot more to hit my sell price! At least something is looking good! Decided to sell today at a small profit. At the end of the day, its better than in the bank and a profit is a profit!
Should have waited until the end of the day as the sp was up to 0.45 and I sold at 0.29p!! Still that's trading!
Only a few more days to go now before Greencore changes its trading and currency, they are my favourite holding at the moment and I am looking to top up at any opportunity!

Weekly roundup

Things appear as though they may move in the right direction.Frontera Resources FRR have moved this week and closed at 1.3p whereas it has been around the 1.1p mark. Berkeley Mineral Resources BMR have also moved and are now over 3p which is good news although the sooner I get out at  a profit the happier I will be! I don't have much confidence in their management ability. Leeds Petroleum LDP has also moved up  and is starting to look promising. Tristar Resources TSTR has also moved above 0.8p! However, all the shares have moved on no news so it could easily go the wrong way just as quickly!!
Next Friday is the change of currency and listing for Greencore GNC so I will be interested to see how that goes particularly as the Euro is suffering a lot at the moment!
I have about 5 sell orders in so I will keep you updated as to whether any of them bear any fruit!

Leeds Petroleum LDP

Happy New Year everyone, I hope this year will be better than last year. Although 2011 started well the last 6 months were dire for me!! I hardly bought or sold anything and didn't make much money!!
I bought some shares yesterday in Leeds Petroleum LDP, I had some spare cash and they looked a reasonable  bet. Also Viridas Has just bought a large stake in LDP so they are gearing up to do something in the coal mining sector. The company has been revamped after crashing out of the oil business, let's see if they do any better in coal mining.
