TriStar Resources

Today, TriStar Resources issued an RNS regarding their interim results! Basically it was saying nothing new and the main activity at the moment was seeking funds to develop the facility at Goynuk and progress the roaster site at RAK! My view is that this share isn't going anywhere fast but in the fullness of time, when the roaster is up and running then the sp could be in double figures. How long that will take I have no idea, so its a share to buy now and put in the bottom drawer for a while!

Gold, Gold, Gold!!!

Two of my shares RRR and ORE are gold miners and I thought it would be interesting to share my thoughts on the differences. RRR issued an RNS regarding their Migori prospect in Kenya. Here, they are finding gold at just over 1g/t. ORE issued an RNS regarding their Deli Jovan prospect in Serbia and here we are talking gold at 13g/t also if you look at their map on their website you will see gold up to 65g/t!!
However, ORE is languishing at 0.6p a share which is very, very low given the gold in the ground and if they can start extracting it then is there any reason why this couldn't be £1 a share!! Obviously they will need funds to extract and process the gold but given the high grades then it should be cash rich and self supporting in a short space of time once mining begins!

Story of the week!! I was watching a company called Recyclex on the Paris exchange and they had a court case on Wednesday where €50M was at stake. The judge suspended trading in the shares on Wednesday whilst the case proceeded. I decided to wait until after Wednesday to buy some shares. They were just over €3 on Tuesday. On Thursday, after the case was dismissed they were trading over €5 a share!!!!!!!!!!!! C'est la vie as they say!

Orogen Gold (ORE)

Orogen Gold (ORE) issued an RNS today on their interim results. The results themselves were not very interesting but the comments on their gold drilling was. They have some high grade drill results upto 135g/t so  it is looking very positive. Add to that they upgraded their website with a new diagram which showed gold at 62g/t and things are starting to look very positive!
On the European front I bought back some more Natixis shares on Friday, so I am now looking for them to move up again. It is a typical Monday, with many shares depressed and none of my London shares are doing very well but Natixis is up slightly.
Berkeley Mineral Resources PLC are down again and the 6p warrants expire on Oct 24th so not long to go. There seems to a lot of gnashing of teeth after the recent investors evening with the likelihood of the sp rising anytime soon very remote. Some people are muttering about another 2 years for anything to happen but I hope that is not true!

QE3!! Marvellous for banks!!!

After QE3 by the Fed last night, the markets were expected to open up! When the markets opened, by the time I had logged into my French share dealing account Natixis had already passed my selling target! I quickly put a sell order in and sold at €2.72! Considering I bought at €2.53 just 2 minutes before close of business last night, I was pleased with that. My view is that it is better to make a lot of small gains frequently rather than wait years for an "investment" to pay off.
Talking of which, by all accounts the presentation by BMR was not impressive last night and it may be some considerable time before anything actually takes place. The general result was that in a buoyant market, the BMR sp went down!

Berkeley Mineral Resources PLC

Berkeley Mineral Resources PLC issued a pointless RNS today, mainly for the benefit of the meeting this evening! It told us nothing new and in my opinion was a waste of money actually issuing it. It could have been done on the Company's website. Until BMR actually start selling something the sp is likely to languish where it is!
I was going to sell my Credit Agricole shares this morning just after the market opened at €5.91 but dithered and missed the opportunity. I sold them eventually just before close of play at a small profit and bought a load of Natixis shares! I am looking for Natixis to rise to about €2.79 to give me a good profit but I think it depends on what happens with the Fed today!
Still no news from Orogen Gold but I live in hopes, at least it didn't go down!

Europe booming today!!

With the German Court approving the Euro bailout, shares in Europe are doing well today. I bought some Natixis shares this morning just after the market opened for €2.52 and sold them less than 2 hours later for €2.69!! Nice little profit and hoping to buy back a little later.
My Credit Agricole shares are also doing well and are now in profit! I bought them in February and they immediately went down but now appear to be flying. I have a sell order in for €6.03 and then I will be looking to trade in bigger lots as I will combine both lots of funds.
Meanwhile in the UK, BMR are still languishing despite the fact that Masoud Alikhani is giving a presentation tomorrow! Everything else is wallowing!!

I could be talking complete nonsense but I think Orogen Gold ORE is going to pop at any time soon. If it gets to 1p then I will be very pleased!

Finally Red Rock released an RNS after hours that while interesting didn't really say anything that is going to get people excited!

Pinnacle Technology Group

Pinnacle Technology Group issued an RNS this morning rightly proud of their achievements in the broadcasting of the Olympics and Paralympics in London! Whilst it may have been profitable I get the impression that it was used to improve the infrastructure of the company. Well done Alan Bonner and everyone at Pinnacle, be nice if the sp reflected the achievement! Here is an interview with Alan Bonner

After a couple of days of languishing, Credit Agricole went up today so I set a limit order for my floating Credit Agricole shares and when I came back from collecting my son, I found that I had sold them! The plan is now to buy back if they retrace or buy back Natixis shares. Unfortunately, I can't buy Commerzbank shares on my French account so will have to wait for my UK account to free up some funds!
