At last some good news!!!!!!

After a couple of weeks of bad news, dilution from VOG, massive fall in Red Rock share due to Jupiter mines stopping iron ore works due to fall in iron ore prices,  general poor market conditions, today, Victoria Oil and Gas (VOG) issued an RNS giving some good news!!! They have had an independent gas market survey done on Douala and state that a company called Prometal has started using gas and can take up to 430000 cu ft gas per day so a good customer. Further more they have another 10 customers who are likely to be taking gas by the end of December.
One of the key comments I took from the report was the 100% growth per annum from 2012 to 2017!!  If that actually happened then the company would be making some super profits and the sp should be significantly higher. It will be interesting to see whether there is any movement in the sp and whether there will be a lot more sales of the recently issued shares!

A flurry of RNS!!

In the last few days I have had a number of RNS about my shares! The first was from BMR and it was just a change of registered office! We will get another RNS from BMR next week as I think that it is highly unlikely that the warrants are exercised!
Then we had some from Red Rock, RRR about Greenland and the iron ore prospecting there, nothing to exciting!
Then we had one from ORE about an issue of shares! Normally this would be viewed as bad news but this time they had raised £1.2M and it was all director buys!!!!!!!! My take on that is that they are very confident that they are going to make a lot of money in the future!
Then we had another from RRR saying that they had sold some shares in Jupiter Mining to fund the RRR business! Better than a dilution but I am unclear as to where this takes RRR!
All of the RNS have had very little impact on the sp for any of the shares so it is still back to waiting!

Red Rock Resources

Red Rock Resources issued an RNS today regarding the sale of its Columbian gold mine. This could be worth in excess of $2M to the company based on the original loan agreement but we will have to wait and see. It will be interesting to see how it affects the sp!
The RNS yesterday from VOG did little for the sp! It went up a bit but then settled back to where it closed! One of these days it will go up and stay up! The problem is that many staff were paid in shares and it may be that some are turning their shares into liquidity so until they have finished selling the sp will continue to languish!

Gold, Gold, Gold!!!

Two of my shares RRR and ORE are gold miners and I thought it would be interesting to share my thoughts on the differences. RRR issued an RNS regarding their Migori prospect in Kenya. Here, they are finding gold at just over 1g/t. ORE issued an RNS regarding their Deli Jovan prospect in Serbia and here we are talking gold at 13g/t also if you look at their map on their website you will see gold up to 65g/t!!
However, ORE is languishing at 0.6p a share which is very, very low given the gold in the ground and if they can start extracting it then is there any reason why this couldn't be £1 a share!! Obviously they will need funds to extract and process the gold but given the high grades then it should be cash rich and self supporting in a short space of time once mining begins!

Story of the week!! I was watching a company called Recyclex on the Paris exchange and they had a court case on Wednesday where €50M was at stake. The judge suspended trading in the shares on Wednesday whilst the case proceeded. I decided to wait until after Wednesday to buy some shares. They were just over €3 on Tuesday. On Thursday, after the case was dismissed they were trading over €5 a share!!!!!!!!!!!! C'est la vie as they say!

Europe booming today!!

With the German Court approving the Euro bailout, shares in Europe are doing well today. I bought some Natixis shares this morning just after the market opened for €2.52 and sold them less than 2 hours later for €2.69!! Nice little profit and hoping to buy back a little later.
My Credit Agricole shares are also doing well and are now in profit! I bought them in February and they immediately went down but now appear to be flying. I have a sell order in for €6.03 and then I will be looking to trade in bigger lots as I will combine both lots of funds.
Meanwhile in the UK, BMR are still languishing despite the fact that Masoud Alikhani is giving a presentation tomorrow! Everything else is wallowing!!

I could be talking complete nonsense but I think Orogen Gold ORE is going to pop at any time soon. If it gets to 1p then I will be very pleased!

Finally Red Rock released an RNS after hours that while interesting didn't really say anything that is going to get people excited!

Some good news today!!

I received 2 RNS today that brought a little cheer to an otherwise grim market picture. The first was half year results from Pinnacle Technology Group where sales and profit had increased significantly and the second from Red Rock Resources where they had the results of gold testing at the Mikei gold project in SW Kenya. This RNS seemed to indicate very good gold returns from the samples tested and perhaps in the future it will help push the sp up!
The PINN RNS was good but not spectacular and seemed to follow previous trends where the sp rises in anticipation of good results only for the sp to fall when the results are good but not spectacular!
My CFDs are slightly negative at the moment as VOG is doing badly with its sp. Once it stays over 3p then I will be feeling confident but for the moment I am just tracking the situation waiting for an upturn possibly driven by an RNS saying that gas is being supplied and customers are paying!

Berkeley Mineral Resources

Berkeley Mineral Resources issued an RNS this morning that ought to start the ball rolling a bit! They have now confirmed that they have the Large Scale Mining Licence for 703 hectares around Kabwe.  Masoud Alikhani hopes that they will soon be supplying lead and zinc to world markets. I hope so too as they might start generating some revenue! Seriously though it should be good news and I will be interested to see what the markets make of it today.
After an initial 14% surge, the sp has settled down to around 5% increase for the day. So, good but not that good. Interesting that yesterday there were 4m shares traded and in the first 20 mins today there were 4M shares traded! By lunchtime is was over 7M shares traded so still not a huge amount!
Red Rock Resources also issued an RNS today regarding the sale of interest in Jupiter mines to Anglo Pacific. So RRR have now got some dosh and shares in Anglo Pacific and that ought to improve the sp of RRR
Victoria Oil and Gas updated their website today with details of their progress in March/April. It is all looking very positive and looks as though gas may be flowing in June!!

The world's most boring day until.......

Redrock Resources issued an after hours RNS! Here they updated everyone on their drilling for gold in the Nyanza project in Kenya! They have found gold at about 3g/t in most holes but one hole was over 30g/t!!! So it will be interesting to see how the market reacts tomorrow morning!
Victoria Oil and GasTriStar Resources and Berkeley Mineral Resources have all been very boring today and hardly moved at all and there were not many shares traded either. There is an outside chance that we may get an RNS from TriStar Resources tomorrow but I am not holding my breath! For the moment I am quite pleased with the results from Red Rock!

Weekly Roundup!!

I have been away for a few days and wondered what I would come back to? Well, 5 RNS but no major moves!!
Berkeley Mineral Resources produced another of their celebrated RNS saying that they would be extending the time for Due Diligence on Chingola tailings. This had the effect of making the sp go down after some good rises last week!
There were 2 RNS from Edenville Energy, 1 being a holdings RNS and good to see Henderson Global increasing their holdings yet again. The other was a mildly positive update on the drilling season in Tanzania. The overall effect was to move the sp up a little.
The other was an agreement between Redrock and Ariel partners for the Migori gold project. Redrock seem to have lots of convoluted deals but what would be nice is if they actually produced something concrete!
I have dabbled with the idea of getting back into Central Rand Gold but at the moment, the situation in South Africa does not look good for investors. Also, I have thought about Caspian Holdings again but again, the situation in Spain is a little difficult. Not easy this investing business.
Sold my shares in Edenville today for a small profit and bought some more Victoria Oil and Gas! I bought these cheaper than I first bought over 2 years ago!! It would be nice to think that at some point this year they hit double figures!
Also the 6p warrants on Berkeley Mineral Resources expire tomorrow night so it will be interesting top see what happens by close of business tomorrow!

Weekly Roundup

Ok, I am still waiting for Tristar Resources and Berkeley Mineral Resources to do something. I got a bit bored on Friday and sold some TSTR shares for a small profit and then bought some Edenville Energy shares! I may live to regret that but it is frustrating waiting. Considering I lost money on EDL recently, I was pleased to buy back at a lower price than I sold so it is possible to recoup some of my losses.
So the view is that this week TSTR will issue a JORC! If it does then I will have made a mistake because it is likely that the sp will be around 1.5p! However, if EDL goes up on Monday I will sell and buy back into TSTR!
BMR continues to promise lots and deliver nothing! Unless they get a grip and start selling something I don't see any likelihood of the sp rising.
There was a little bit of movement on Redrock and Frontera Resources this week but a long way to go before I am in profit.
Victoria Oil and Gas is still meandering on and if I can sell any of my shares at profit then I am going to put the money into VOG and GNC for the summer!
ALR have their AGM soon but I amm not expecting anything to happen with them for a while. Also there seems to be more concern over the Euro and American jobs so all in all, things are not looking ever so bright!

Red Rock Resources RRR

Red Rock Resources issued another RNS today and this time it was GOOD! It was the results of drilling in the Migori project in Kenya and showed some holes with more than 1g/t of gold! It had a beneficial effect on the sp to start with so let's hope it continues and with an update from Columbia due, it could be time for RRR to start climbing. The only fly in the ointment is the market situation over the Euro and USA!
Tristar Resources is still building slowly in anticipation of the JORC on Goynuk. However, it is very frustrating waiting for it to arrive!

Red Rock Resources (RRR)

Red Rock Resources issued an RNS this morning. This seems to me to be a way of raising cash for ongoing Red Rock developments. They will get about $3.8M plus shares in Anglo Pacific Group and this should ease the cash flow for a while.
The markets are down today after the Easter holidays and the poor American job figures. Still no news on Tristar Resources and the company is not noted for keeping its shareholders informed!!
The view is that there may be some news on Berkeley Mineral Resources this week but I think that it is more likely to be next week.
With the way things are going it could be a slow old week this week!!
This year I am going to try to remain more liquid during the summer. The old adage "Sell in May and stay away" is something I wished I had followed last year. So this year I would like to sell what is possible to sell and stay liquid to see what opportunities present themselves! May be stupid but may pay benefits so worth a try!

Red Rock Resources RRR

After my comments in my Weekly Roundup, RRR issued an RNS this morning for its half year results! It was a bit of a mixed picture which at the end of the day was enough to drop the sp!!! Sales of minerals sold were up and profitable but because the value of its shares in Jupiter Mines had dropped substantially, RRR's profitability was down. They see 2012 and 2013 as good for Jupiter and Red Rock so it is a back burner share now. Good price to top up now and forget about.
TriStar Resources, TSTR, on the other hand were up 12% this morning in anticipation of results being announced this week. Lots of volume traded and new people getting into the share hoping for good news this week. Last week the sp was 0.67, this morning it was 0.86p!! Bring on a super JORC this week!

Great News Today!!!

I had 3 RNS this morning, from Greencore, Red Rock and Tristar Resources.

Greencore Group issued their annual results which were good, sales up 8.7%, profit flat and EPS up 20%!! Bearing in mind the costs associated with the Northern Foods merger and the UNIQ takeover. The bottom line for me is that the final dividend is 2.3c which is a good incentive not to sell! 20000 shares were bought in the first 15 mins of trading so I suspect that the market liked the news.

Good news from TSTR with Interim Sampling Results for Stanley Claims Geochemical Programme in Canada. These gave a good indication of antimony plus other minerals like gold and silver. It was not the news I was looking for, the JORC on Goynuk, but it was good news anyway. The market seemed to like the news and the sp was up 0.2p and several million shares had been traded early on.

The final RNS was the gold sales  update from Redrock for its Columbian El Limon mine. These were up 2.3% but no great shakes really. They also said that the results in December would be lower because of the holidays and maintenance. The market wasn't so keen on this and the sp dropped!

Excellent News Today!!!

At last some excellent news from Victoria Oil and Gas and Red Rock Resources!!!
VOG gave an update on their Logbaba gas site in Cameroon  and they are now testing the pipework before finally delivering gas before the year end!! This is great news and they also mentioned that they will be selling condensate from the gas plant so that is an added bonus So I am looking forward to the switch on of gas!

RRR published their year end accounts which were very positive and the sp went up by 24% at one point, it still needs to go a lot higher before I breakeven but it is a step in the right direction and does give me confidence in my investment. Keep up the good work guys!!

Weekly Roundup

It has been a tumultuous week on the world markets this week with the on-off Greek referendum and the FTSE closed down on Friday night. However, on Friday night all my shares except 1 finished blue!!

The great news was the big improvement in Greencore Group sp which finished at €0.79 which now puts me in profit. I hope the momentum continues next week and that we get some news of the proposed takeover soon. The following is an interesting link  but it not suggesting anything new.

Finally Victoria Oil and Gas is on the move northwards and hopefully for good! The sp closed up at 4.31p on Friday as the days are running out before the first gas is supplied to real customers, who then start paying!!! The VOG website was updated and showed the latest progress   and I envisage that gas will start flowing in December ie in about 4 weeks time VOG will be a supplier rather than an explorer!

Next week is the AGM and consolidation of Porta Communications shares. The likelihood is that some new acquisitions will be announced and it would be nice to think the sp goes up but my experience is that when consolidation takes place the sp drops. I still need the sp to reach 22p from its consolidated level of 11p to breakeven so I will be waiting a lot longer.

Red Rock Resources started  little rise on Friday and finished at 5.15p but if we get a good Columbia update next week then we should see the sp continue further north. The companies that RRR have an interest in Jupiter Mining, Ascot Mining and Regency Mines were all up this week so it is beginning to look more hopeful.

Edenville Energy issued an RNS giving an operational update and broadly are aiming to produce a JORC before the end of December! Net result: sp went up a little!

As we get into the more dynamic time of the trading year, I am looking to see more rises and that I can sell some shares and make some money!!!

Monday, 17 October 2011

Good start to the week!!

This morning I have had 3 RNS, from TSTR, RRR and PINN.  The good news was from Tristar Resources where they have had environmental clearance for their antimony roaster in the UAE. This is a small but necessary step in the road to becoming an antimony supplier.

The RNS for Red Rock Resources was concerning their stake in Jupiter Mines. Jupiter are commencing a share buy back and Red Rock are not selling any of their shares. The buyback is seen as being good for Jupiter but it is the production royalty that RRR are interested in more the an improving share price.

Finally the RNS from Pinnacle Telecom was about the issue of more shares and I don't see that as good news!!

However, the market seems to have opened on a positive note today and many of my shares are showing that their sp are rising today, notably VOG, FRR and TSTR. It would be nice to think that VOG finished above 4p today, that FRR finished over 2p and that TSTR finished at 0.9p!!! We will see

Big news today!!!

I was pleased to see 2 RNS this morning, 1 from PTCM and the other from Red Rock.
Porta Comms have come out of suspension and started trading again and they are consolidating their shares 100:1 and that is likely to take place on the 8th November! So I currently have 1.6M shares and after consolidation I will have 16k shares. It doesn't make any difference to the value I hold but does make it more attractive to Institutional Investors to invest in the company. They are also raising more money to continue building the company.

Red Rock Resources also issued an update for their Columbian gold mine at El Limon. In the last quarter they made big strides in raising output , quality and sales of gold. So well done RRR.

Also I bought some more Berkeley Mineral Resources shares BMR, as there is a likelihood that they may get some news about the licence for their mine in Zambia. Time will tell but I made a loss when I sold out of them and have now bought more shares for less money so if they were to get back to my original buy in price I would be making lots of money!!!

Victoria Oil and Gas VOG

Well I bought my VOG shares at 3.65p and whereas previously I had bought 146406 shares and sold 146000 shares , now I have bought 149261 shares for the same money so effectively I have gained over 3000 shares! So now I have a sell order in for 4.1p just for today. I am going to increase it by 0.1p each day so that if it triggers then I will be making some nice dosh. My sell order is for just over 142k shares so that I will still have 150k VOG shares. If I don't get my sell order triggered I am not that bothered as come October I think the sp will rise as gas starts to be delivered to customers!

I have been disappointed with TSTR that I haven't been able to buy any shares. Even though it is listed as 0.73/0.74p the best I could buy for was 0.79p so I didn't bother.

Red Rock RRR is a bit disapponinting at the moment as despite having a good RNS the sp has dropped. One poster suggested that it was because 16.6M shares issued in June were being sold!

Red Rock Resources RRR

Good RNS from Red Rock today, updating the production at El Limone mine in Columbia. Throughput up, producctivity up, all looking good. Just need the sp to go up!!

I have still got my buy order in for VOG at 3.65p and although the bid has moved well below that, the ask still remains stubbornly above that, so it is a good exercise in patience for me. I am determined to leave it there at least until tomorrow and I really am hoping to buy the shares at that price.

Slight movement from GNC today but realistically nothing is likely to happen until the deal is finally signed. Everything else is very boring!
