Alternative Energy Limited ALR

I haven't mentioned Alternative Energy Limited for a while but today they issued an RNS saying they were issuing more shares to raise capital and also that they had had more patents approved. The good news was they also stated that they were selling their LED lighting systems. I see this as a growing market and if they can capitalise on this soon then there could be some upside.

Markets take a hammering!

Big problems in Greece yesterday and today the market is down. Many shares have fallen but not all. Mine shares that are holding up well are Alternative Energy and Pinnacle Telecoms! My BMR shares and VOG have fallen just over 2%. If I was not significantly topped up then I would buy some more of both but particularly VOG as I see them rising by October. The other share that I am keeping an eye on is VIR as I will buy back in if it falls below 0.5p. It has been up to 1.1p last week and on news I feel it will go up again. Time will tell!

Alternative Energy Ltd (ALR)

Alternative Energy Ltd posted their interim results yesterday and they were telling us little new. The company is still making a loss as a result of initial development work. The staff are committed to the company and are taking shares as part of their remuneration package, a good sign. Chris Nightingale is continuing to back the company and having spoken to him recently, I am happy that ALR are on the right track. What they need to do now is to generate some sales. Once that starts to happen then the future of the company will change for the better.

No RNS from Berkeley Resources again today  so the wait continues.Masoud Alikhani, the CEO, is addressing a mining conference today and many thought that an RNS would be issued to coincide with that.

Viridas PLC is flying agin today!! 0.5/0.6p and up 17%. Over 9M shares traded this morning and some meaty buys going on. It was on the volume board of LSE yesterday and I wouldn't be surprised if it was there again today. Just need an RNS saying where the company is going. I have put my sell order in again today for 0.7p but I am not expecting it to make it today!

Tristar Resources TSTR

The sp has fallen recently and if I had funds available I would top up significantly in this company. I believe that they have started to dig in Turkey for antimony and soon they will be in production. The current situation regarding antimony is the Chinese control 92% of the world market, their production is down and their consumption is up. So the Chinese have brought about a sudden and shocking supply crunch in the metal. The price of antimony has gone into the stratosphere and it’s likely to stay there for some time – great news for a company like Tristar Resources. NOTE: this is not investment advice just my opinion!

Yesterday only PINN and ALR were blue! One poster was saying that out of 32 shares he owned, all were red!! It would be nice to have some good news soon.. Another of my shares GNC has dropped €1.08 and is ideal for topping up at the moment as the interim results should be out about 24th May!

Alternative Energy Ltd

Today ALR posted an RNS on their end of year results to 31 Aug 2010. Whilst the company made a bigger loss than last year, they have made progress. They have a number of patents authorised and are starting to generate revenue. Also the chairman Chris Nightingale has put another $1M loan into the company, bringing his total investment up to $3.3M!! He obviously has confidence.  The view is that they should be generating significant revenue by year end. As I am quite happy to sit and wait on this I feel quite happy with the company’s current stat. We just need the revenue to start rolling in.

Bad week in the markets!!!

This has been a bad week for the markets, well at least for the shares I hold!  There has been a little movement and there are signs that some companies may improve soon but in the main, lots of my shares are doing badly.

I might have news of ALR and VOG on Monday and BVC on the 8^th of March. I am waiting for news of TSTR  at any time and on March 7^th there is a meeting of VAL. Anything is possible but it is very tedious just waiting. The other  week I felt like a trader, buying and selling in a week but now, nothing is happening to enable me to sell and move to another share!!! 

The international situation is difficult, with turbulence in North Africs and it didn't help this morning with the London Stock Exchange down for several hours and no trading!

Ah well, perhaps next week will be better.

Alternative Energy Ltd

I got quite excited this morning to discover that someone had bought 700000 shares in ALR!! This lifted the price a little to $0.06/0.07  so that can't be bad.
I have introduce a planning calendar to my blog to list key events when results are due and it seems to work by clicking on Google calendar button.

Weekly Round Up

After I posted yesterday about Alternative Energy Ltd, one of the posters I see on the PTCM board posted that ALR were expected to make a bigger loss than last year!! I asked where he had heard that but haven't received a reply yet! If he is right, then I will hold the shares until they make a profit because I feel it is a company worth persevering with. If he is wrong, then my investment will be safe!
Everyone is still waiting for news of the licence on Victoria Oil and Gas VOG. Some investors are getting fed up and are selling out but the hard core are holding. I put my monthly sell order in with HSBC France for 10p, so I hope that it all happens this month, I'm not holding my breath though!!
I topped up in Porta Comms this week and now hold over 700k shares. I have a topslice sell order for 0.33p and another at 0.6p
Tristar Resources TSTR is holding up well and remains over 1p despite news of dilution to fund the mining. I am holding and have a sell order in for 2.39p. The price of antimony keeps going up and if I have any spare funds then I will top up here.
Finally, I am expecting news of BVC on Monday and hope that my sell order of 42p is achieved. All in all there is a lot happening and I hope I sell some shares next week.

Alternative Energy Ltd

I bought into Alternative Energy Ltd  ALR yesterday at $0.0638. This is a Singapore company that produce and sells alternative energy products http://www.alternativenergy.com.sg/home.aspx It is relatively new and has recently signed up new agents in the UK and Nigeria to sell its products. I rang their London office and spoke to Richard Lascelles to get a better feel of the company and was pleased that I had done so. They will be publishing their year end results at the end of February so I will be looking forward to seeing whether the sp moves. I am looking to hold until $0.20 so we will have to see.
