Christmas is coming....!

Several RNS this morning, some more exciting than others so everyone seems to be getting things done ready for next year!
The best RNS in my view was from Greencore Group where they are seeking FTSE listing in Feb/March next year. This will also mean that they will be listed solely in London and in pence. I am a little sad about that as it is my only share currently in Euros! I was in GKN when they got listed on the FTSE and it did wonders for their share price so I hope the same happens with GNC.
The next good RNS was from Victoria Oil and Gas (VOG), who have now started supplying gas to 2 customers! After such a long time of waiting, things are now coming to fruition, so well done Kevin Foo and the team at VOG!
Then there were 2 RNS from Berkeley Mineral Resources BMR, the first about an options agreement for copper tailings in Chingola and the second about the AGM! I despair of BMR as they are intent on buying more but have no means, other than shareholders, of generating cash. They are supposed to be selling slimes next quarter but I will believe that when I see it!

Red Rock Resources RRR

Red Rock Resources issued a good RNS this morning on its Migori gold project. They have a JORC compliant gold resource of 577000 oz gold which equates roughly to £690M. Yippee I thought o,ly to find that the sp had gone down!!!! How is that possible? It does make you wonder what is going on in the world when you get a great RNS and the sp drops!!

Tuesday 13 December 2011

And still it rumbles on!!!

After all the fuss about the Euro conference, nothing much has changed, the markets still don't have much confidence and Christmas is bearing down on us fast.
I had an RNS this morning from Edenville  which was a drilling update that said very little really. They have found more coal but because of delays in analysing samples there won't be a JORC until next year!! The market was unimpressed.

Greencore issued an RNS about Director sharedealing and that was just directors getting bonuses in shares. I can't argue with that and it had no effect on the market, the management are doing a good job and this week is the record date for the dividend!!

No other news except I sold my IMIC shares as it looks to me as they are up to some dubious dealings and lining up for dilution to fund their expansion. Get out now as I can't see the sp going up.

Tuesday 6 December 2011

Great News Today!!!

I had 3 RNS this morning, from Greencore, Red Rock and Tristar Resources.

Greencore Group issued their annual results which were good, sales up 8.7%, profit flat and EPS up 20%!! Bearing in mind the costs associated with the Northern Foods merger and the UNIQ takeover. The bottom line for me is that the final dividend is 2.3c which is a good incentive not to sell! 20000 shares were bought in the first 15 mins of trading so I suspect that the market liked the news.

Good news from TSTR with Interim Sampling Results for Stanley Claims Geochemical Programme in Canada. These gave a good indication of antimony plus other minerals like gold and silver. It was not the news I was looking for, the JORC on Goynuk, but it was good news anyway. The market seemed to like the news and the sp was up 0.2p and several million shares had been traded early on.

The final RNS was the gold sales  update from Redrock for its Columbian El Limon mine. These were up 2.3% but no great shakes really. They also said that the results in December would be lower because of the holidays and maintenance. The market wasn't so keen on this and the sp dropped!

Monday 5 December 2011

Greencore Group GNC

Some disappointing news today, in that, the takeover talks with Greencore have ended. Not too big a surprise given the current state of the global market but disappointing nevertheless. The net result was that the sp fell back to its pre takeover level of €0.63. So now we will be eagerly awaiting the Year End results tomorrow. It will be interesting to see how the dividend structure is sorted out, so long as they keep paying a dividend, I will be quite happy.

More news on the IMIC front, they issued another RNS today regarding their JV partner African Iron Ore Group Limited ("AIOG") who have signed a JV agreement with the government of Guinea for the Simandou iron ore mining project. As a result the sp went up to 0.33p before dropping back. However, given my frustration with them previously, they do seem to be trying to make a go of things.

Weekly Roundup

Despite some interesting RNS this week, nothing much has changed. The global crisis still rumbles on and possibly there may be some positive action next week. Angela Merkel showing some statemanship(!) but David Cameron more like a spoilt child.

Next Tuesday is the Greencore year end results so it will be interesting to see how they go. They ought to be positive but my gut feel is that after all the takeover moves this year, the news might not be quite what the market is looking for.

We are getting very close to gas being supplied by VOG and the sp is holding up reasonably well. I think next year will be the major move in sp but they are showing how to keep investors informed with regular updates and a good website.

In comparison, BMR and TSTR are not doing a good job at keeping investors informed. It is the BMR AGM on the 16 December and there may be a few angry investors at the meeting. TSTR are getting on with testing and appraising for a JORC but saying little. It is plain to see that interest in both shares has tailed off over the last year with lack of news and in consequence, the sp has dropped.

The biggest surprise of the week was IMIC actual did something about investing in Africa!!! They are studying a joint venture so we will have to see what comes of that.

I have a feeling that there may be a flurry of excitement up to Christmas. If I am right and I get to sell some shares at a profit, I will not be in a hurry to re-invest. Rather I will look carefully and I have decided to always keep cash in my trading account to take advantage of any opportunities that might arise.

Tuesday 29 November 2011

Excellent News Today!!!

At last some excellent news from Victoria Oil and Gas and Red Rock Resources!!!
VOG gave an update on their Logbaba gas site in Cameroon  and they are now testing the pipework before finally delivering gas before the year end!! This is great news and they also mentioned that they will be selling condensate from the gas plant so that is an added bonus So I am looking forward to the switch on of gas!

RRR published their year end accounts which were very positive and the sp went up by 24% at one point, it still needs to go a lot higher before I breakeven but it is a step in the right direction and does give me confidence in my investment. Keep up the good work guys!!

Saturday 26 November 2011

Greencore Group GNC

It has been a very boring few weeks on the markets of late, with most of my shares down. The only one that is positive at the moment if Greencore, mainly as a result of speculation about a possible takeover! There has been no news on this for some weeks but I have found a possibly interesting linkManvinder Banga has been appointed to M&S board and he is a Clayton, Dubilier & Rice Partner. They are the people who are thought to be the private equity group behind a possible takeover move. As Greencore are suppliers to M&S then this makes some degree of sense. Time will tell but it could be interesting.
.

Tuesday 15 November 2011

Greencore Group GNC

After I saw on the news last night about food poisoning from Loyd Grosman sauces, I checked that they weren't made by Greencore! Phew!! Today I found some info from KBC Bank which was interesting to read. The general gist was that it is likely to be a management buyout but who can say. At the moment it is showing as the only blue share in my pf so that can't be bad.

Porta Communications seems to have settled a bit and is currently trading at 10p so could do with it pushing on to get over 20p so I can breakeven!!

Monday 14 November 2011

Pinnacle Telecoms PINN

Nice to get an RNS this morning regarding contract Pinnacle Telecoms have won in connection with the London Olympics and Paralymics! This was forecast on the LSE BB several months ago when people were thinking PINN may get the contract for the Olympics. Atos is a huge company and PINN will be providing services for them. As a result the sp was up this morning but whether it will continue is anyone's guess.

Saturday 5 November 2011

Weekly Roundup

It has been a tumultuous week on the world markets this week with the on-off Greek referendum and the FTSE closed down on Friday night. However, on Friday night all my shares except 1 finished blue!!

The great news was the big improvement in Greencore Group sp which finished at €0.79 which now puts me in profit. I hope the momentum continues next week and that we get some news of the proposed takeover soon. The following is an interesting link  but it not suggesting anything new.

Finally Victoria Oil and Gas is on the move northwards and hopefully for good! The sp closed up at 4.31p on Friday as the days are running out before the first gas is supplied to real customers, who then start paying!!! The VOG website was updated and showed the latest progress   and I envisage that gas will start flowing in December ie in about 4 weeks time VOG will be a supplier rather than an explorer!

Next week is the AGM and consolidation of Porta Communications shares. The likelihood is that some new acquisitions will be announced and it would be nice to think the sp goes up but my experience is that when consolidation takes place the sp drops. I still need the sp to reach 22p from its consolidated level of 11p to breakeven so I will be waiting a lot longer.

Red Rock Resources started  little rise on Friday and finished at 5.15p but if we get a good Columbia update next week then we should see the sp continue further north. The companies that RRR have an interest in Jupiter Mining, Ascot Mining and Regency Mines were all up this week so it is beginning to look more hopeful.

Edenville Energy issued an RNS giving an operational update and broadly are aiming to produce a JORC before the end of December! Net result: sp went up a little!

As we get into the more dynamic time of the trading year, I am looking to see more rises and that I can sell some shares and make some money!!!

Wednesday 2 November 2011

Berkeley Mineral Resources BMR

At last this morning we have received an RNS from Berkeley Mineral Resources BMR!! The only question is "Why has it taken so long to reach this decision?" The company needs money to progress and it had a pile of money sitting there for  months and only now have they decided to do anything about it! I feel that the company needs to change its management for someone with more dynamism!!

The Greeks have certainly made life more difficult in the markets and if this is not sorted out before January  15th 2012, all I see is markets drifting down an global meltdown getting closer!!

Wednesday 26 October 2011

As the world holds its breath

The summit of EU ministers is supposed to solve the Euro crisis today and everyone seems to be poised waiting for a positive outcome. This morning I had RNS from Greencore, Frontera and Tristar.
The news from Greencore was not very exciting, just detailing the number of shares in issue. Hopefully we will hear more news of the takeover bid soon although this article in the Telegraph suggests it is a mystery! The Irish Times was also carrying the story and they seem to indicate a management buyout could be on the cards!

Frontera Resources gave an update on their Mtsare Khevi oil well and they have found more gas which is good news. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to be reflected in the sp very much so I am still waiting to make a profit there!

Tristar Resources gave another update for their Goynuk antimony site and to be honest, the results were not going to set the world on fire! So back to waiting and wondering what will happen in Euroland!

Tuesday 25 October 2011

Greencore Group GNC

Well what an RNS today!!!!!! It seems that someone wants to buy the company and the sp has gone up from €0.61 this morning to nearly €0.8 this afternoon! So it will be interesting to see how this pans out but I would be quite happy if the sp went above €1.

VOG is still trying to break through the 4p resistance and I wouldn't be surprised if that happened in the beginning of November as the first gas is supplied.

The Greencore news has brought a smile to my face and I hope all goes well in the coming weeks.

Monday 17 October 2011

Good start to the week!!

This morning I have had 3 RNS, from TSTR, RRR and PINN.  The good news was from Tristar Resources where they have had environmental clearance for their antimony roaster in the UAE. This is a small but necessary step in the road to becoming an antimony supplier.

The RNS for Red Rock Resources was concerning their stake in Jupiter Mines. Jupiter are commencing a share buy back and Red Rock are not selling any of their shares. The buyback is seen as being good for Jupiter but it is the production royalty that RRR are interested in more the an improving share price.

Finally the RNS from Pinnacle Telecom was about the issue of more shares and I don't see that as good news!!

However, the market seems to have opened on a positive note today and many of my shares are showing that their sp are rising today, notably VOG, FRR and TSTR. It would be nice to think that VOG finished above 4p today, that FRR finished over 2p and that TSTR finished at 0.9p!!! We will see

Friday 14 October 2011

Greencore Group GNC

Found a couple of links for Greencore today and interesting Youtube video. The OFT decision on the Greencore UNIQ takeover was full of interesting facts and percentages. So now just waiting for the deal to be signed sealed and delivered. Fascinating to see that Greencore does the stuff for Gordon Ramsay.

Wednesday 12 October 2011

Big news today!!!

I was pleased to see 2 RNS this morning, 1 from PTCM and the other from Red Rock.
Porta Comms have come out of suspension and started trading again and they are consolidating their shares 100:1 and that is likely to take place on the 8th November! So I currently have 1.6M shares and after consolidation I will have 16k shares. It doesn't make any difference to the value I hold but does make it more attractive to Institutional Investors to invest in the company. They are also raising more money to continue building the company.

Red Rock Resources also issued an update for their Columbian gold mine at El Limon. In the last quarter they made big strides in raising output , quality and sales of gold. So well done RRR.

Also I bought some more Berkeley Mineral Resources shares BMR, as there is a likelihood that they may get some news about the licence for their mine in Zambia. Time will tell but I made a loss when I sold out of them and have now bought more shares for less money so if they were to get back to my original buy in price I would be making lots of money!!!

Tuesday 11 October 2011

Frontera Resources FRR

A nice RNS this morning from Frontera Resources FRR . Basically they have found a lot more gas at the Mtsare Khevi gas field, in fact, 5 times more than expected and they are only 10km away from gas network. The sale of the gas will provide funds to continue with the expansion of the development. The big question is, what effect will it have on the sp?????
Also interesting to note that the price of gas is between $4 to $6 per mcf compared with $16 that VOG are getting in Cameroon!!

Thursday 6 October 2011

Volatile market!!

Its been a grim week on the markets and as a result it has been very volatile, down on Tuesday and up on Wednesday!! My pf is looking pretty grim despite some good RNS from Edenville and Pinnacle but I am still 30% down and waiting for one or more of my shares to BOOM!!
It is the presidential elections in Cameroon on Sunday 9 October so with any luck VOG might improve after the elections are finished. I don't think the outcome will have any impact on VOG but it will remove some uncertainty in the minds of investors.
I am waiting to see my dividend from GNC hitting my account any day soon and looking forward to the next divi as I will have considerably more shares!
PTCM is still suspended and it will be interesting to see what the sp is after they start trading again. I would be happy if they were trading in the 0.20's  and there is some talk of consolidation of share value, possibly 100 or 50 times! We will have to see.

Tuesday 27 September 2011

Victoria Oil and Gas VOG

A dilution RNS this morning, not exactly what you want to see but it has been talked about for days! I would have preferred a dilution at a higher price as there would have been less shares issued but if you need to raise money now, I guess your options are limited! I don't see it dragging the sp down much further and in all likelihood gas will start to flow soon so we should then see the sp rise. The presidential elections in Cameroon are on October 9th so it wouldn't surprise me if some gas didn't start to flow before then.

On a seperate issue I have started trading Forex again and this time in a more controlled way. Before I wasn't very successful as I tended to trade too much and have my stoops set too close and lost all my dosh. Now, I am trading less, using Bollinger bands, RSI and MACD charts to determine when to trade and try to limit myself to achieving a goal and then sticking to it. I started last week with €300 and am now on €503 so not bad in just over a week.

Friday 23 September 2011

Greencore Group GNC

This afternoon Greencore issued an RNS stating that the offer for UNIQ was now unconditional, so now there should be 20 days before everything is signed, sealed and sorted. Greencore's results are due on Decemeber 6th and I hope that will be a nice Christmas present!

Despite all the doom and gloom yesterday in the markets, VOG, TSTR and FRR held up reasonably well. Just one week to go before TSTR issue their interim results and I hope the sp goes up a lot!!

Thursday 22 September 2011

Edenville Energy EDL

Edenville Energy issued their interim results RNS today and these had some promise for the future. The company is funded to produce a maiden JORC but it seems to me that after that they would be looking to sell the company. If you read between the lines it seems likely that they are working towards confirming a resource and then selling the company.

The other day I found I had 100GBP in my trading account so I bought some Red Leopard Holdings RLH shares. I can't see these setting the world alight but if I make a small profit eventually I will be please, on the other hand it is not a big investment if it fails!

Not long to go now before TSTR results and yesterday the sp moved up to 0.85p. Unfortunately the sp dropped a little this morning but in just over a week we should have a clearer picture. I have about 360k shares and am looking to sell these at over 1.2p. There is no reason why this shouldn't happen but the USA didn't help general conditions by announcing its $400Bn stimulation package!!

Tuesday 20 September 2011

Porta Communications PTCM

After a long wait, we have got an RNS at last! In fact, 2 RNS!! The first on was that trading was being temporarily suspended and the second was news of an acquisition. PTCM are taking an 80% stake in Threadneedle Communications. The deal is a reverse takeover and is therefore subject to various AIM rules so it will be interesting to see what happens when trading resumes. For the moment it is good news.

Only just over a week to go before news of TSTR, when they publish their results I am hoping for at least a rise above 1p. The sp has slowly been starting to build and I hope that continues up to the results.

Monday 12 September 2011

Frontera Resources FRR

Good RNS from Frontera Resources FRR this morning showing that they have drilled a well and found some oil and are commencing drilling their next well soon. It is a dire day on the markets today but FRR is holding reasonably well. VOG is hovering around the 4p mark and TSTR seems to be doing all right.

As soon as I sell my next lot of shares I am going to buy more GNC and think about re-investing in GKN. GKN was the first share I bought and has been up to 240p but as the FTSE has dropped it is now down to 174p. If there is another global recession it will drop further but if there are any signs of a recovery, particularly in the motor industry, then GKN will be back over 200p again.

Friday 9 September 2011

Victoria Oil and Gas VOG

Well an excellent letter to shareholders this morning from Kevin Foo! Gas due to be delivered imminently in Logbaba and increased value at Logbab and West Med. The mistake I made was instead of buying FRR yesterday I should have waited and bought back into VOG last night! I could have bought at 3.8 and after 10 minutes this morning the sp is well over 4p!! Still its all a learning experience and I did get nearly 8000 free shares from my 2 trades. Well done Mr Foo and VOG

Thursday 8 September 2011

Frontera Resources FRR

There was a bit of a flurry this morning so I sold 142461 VOG shares so that leaves me 150k shares. Made 95gbp in 2 days so am happy with that. I hope that I may be able to buy in again if the sp falls.

So with my VOG share money I bought some Frontera Resources FRR shares for 2.049p.  This company is exploring for oil in Georgia and seems to be fully funded. In June they were at 6p so it would be nice to see them return to that level.

Greencore Group GNC

I found this link yesterday about the takeover of UNIQ and hope that they are able to get a move on soon. The year end is 30th September so results should be in November. The interim dividend is due for payment 5th October, so there is a lot going on at the moment.

The other day I set an alert for GKN for when they dropped below 180p. They went down to 176 and yesterday closed at 190 so if I had bought GKN shares instead of VOG I would have had a nice little earner from a FTSE company. I am going to follow GKN for a while as I wouldn't mind building a holding in them.

Wednesday 7 September 2011

Victoria Oil and Gas VOG

Well I bought my VOG shares at 3.65p and whereas previously I had bought 146406 shares and sold 146000 shares , now I have bought 149261 shares for the same money so effectively I have gained over 3000 shares! So now I have a sell order in for 4.1p just for today. I am going to increase it by 0.1p each day so that if it triggers then I will be making some nice dosh. My sell order is for just over 142k shares so that I will still have 150k VOG shares. If I don't get my sell order triggered I am not that bothered as come October I think the sp will rise as gas starts to be delivered to customers!

I have been disappointed with TSTR that I haven't been able to buy any shares. Even though it is listed as 0.73/0.74p the best I could buy for was 0.79p so I didn't bother.

Red Rock RRR is a bit disapponinting at the moment as despite having a good RNS the sp has dropped. One poster suggested that it was because 16.6M shares issued in June were being sold!

Monday 5 September 2011

Red Rock Resources RRR

Good RNS from Red Rock today, updating the production at El Limone mine in Columbia. Throughput up, producctivity up, all looking good. Just need the sp to go up!!

I have still got my buy order in for VOG at 3.65p and although the bid has moved well below that, the ask still remains stubbornly above that, so it is a good exercise in patience for me. I am determined to leave it there at least until tomorrow and I really am hoping to buy the shares at that price.

Slight movement from GNC today but realistically nothing is likely to happen until the deal is finally signed. Everything else is very boring!

Thursday 1 September 2011

Victoria Oil and Gas VOG

A little bit of movement today so I sold some of the shares I bought last week for a small profit. I have put a buy order in to replace them at 3.65p but we will have to see if that gets triggered. One thing that I have noticed is that since I haven't been trading very much, my rate with TD Waterhouse has gone back up to 12.5GBP rather than 8.95GBP which it has been for 6 months. So, my desire to trade is driven also by what it is costing me, I have to do 15 trades a quarter to get the 8.95 rate!

I am very tempted to buy some Fyffes FFY shares tomorrow as their interims are on Monday! I don't suppose I will but if I don't then they are bound to have good results and the sp will rise! Another company that I am following is Goldplat GDP and I see them rising in the next couple of months but I need some dosh to buy them at 12p a share. Good to see Edenville starting to move slowly upwards. I have a sell order in for 1.02p so I may get lucky in a few weeks!

Tuesday 30 August 2011

Edenville Energy EDL

Well, at last we have some news with an RNS this morning showing that EDL have found coal of reasonable quality but more importantly, they have discovered coal to the north of previous known coal deposits. It will be interesting to see what happens to the sp this week. Even though the market is very bad at the moment, I wonder will there be any upward movement? Certainly the sp is pretty dire at the moment, having dropped from the last placing price of 1.85p to currently stand at 0.35p!

Great little video interview with Kevin Foo, CEO of VOG and certainly maintains confidence in the company. I still see this as a company with an sp capability if double figures and have recently almost doubled my holding.

Thursday 25 August 2011

Greencore Group GNC

Well, things are certainly starting to move now. Yesterday there was a flurry of RNS and to cut a long story short, there is no problem from the Irish Government regarding the takeover and all the Rights issue has been sorted. So we ar just waiting for the deal to be formerly signed and the merging of the companies to begin.
UNIQ has a the closing of a factory prior to the takeover and this is a factory that produces own brand desserts. I found it interesting that UNIQ produces Cadbury and Muller desserts. Also, my shares have now been amalgamated under one heading on my TDW account although shareprice.co.uk still seems to have difficulty getting it sorted.

I want to keep building my holding in this company as it seems well run and pays a reasonable dividend.

Today I have put a buy order in for TSTR with a view to massively increasing my holding. I have a limit order for 0.75p so we will have to wait and see. I have set it for 25 days but I think that if it doesn't trigger soon then it will be too late as I believe that after the end of August, these shares will start to rise.

Saturday 20 August 2011

Weekly Roundup

Bit of a grim week in the markets but my shares dropped but not as much as some. A number of them are not doing business in Europe so are not as affected as much as some. I am still waiting for end of September/October for news on VOG, GNC and TSTR.  As someone wrote this week when markets were falling everywhere, "sometimes its better to do nothing"'

A share that has come to my notice that could do well in the next few months is Goldplat GDP. They have a goldmine in Kenya and have to wait 3 months for their exploitation licence and then they should be mining rather a lot of gold. At 11.25p at the moment they could be a good bet for the furure.

Monday 15 August 2011

Greencore Group GNC

I was on holiday last week and missed all the excitement on the stock exchange but did take up my rights issue and buy some more GNC shares at €0.597. I am looking forward to the UNIQ deal being finalised in September and the Year end results being published in due course. I regard this as one of my long term shares and will be topping up as and when as the dividend is very good. I am not sure if there will be a dividend at the year end because of the UNIQ deal but we will see.

Whilst I was on holiday there were a couple of nice RNS for PINN and VOG and I expect VOG to start moving upwards as we get into October November and they start supplying gas.

Thursday 4 August 2011

Is this a double dip?

Lots of shares all over the world going down over the last few days. My pf is now showing 40% loss but time to hold tight and hold your nerve. It's not a loss until you hit the sell button. VOG down to 3.5p which is crazy given that pipeline is being laid and gas will be delivered in Q4! I feel tempted to buy some more but will wait until after my holiday next week. I have the funds for my Greencore RI but I feel like putting in a crazy buy order at say 2.98p for VOG and if it actions, great; if not well I haven't lost anything.

PTCM has fallen to 0.1p which if you had no probl em with dosh would be a good speculative buy. TSTR has just dipped under 1p again and it seems that the Euro, Italy, Llotds bank etc is driving people away from equity. Next year I think I will sell in May and go back in September, like the old adage.

Tuesday 2 August 2011

Tristar Resources TSTR

Slowly but surely the sp is starting to rise! The sp closed at 1.08p yesterday and in my view this will come good and possibly in the not too distant future.I think perhaps for big returns it is still 2 years off but my year end we could see a modest improvement, maybe 1.5-2p. In the meantime the demand for antimony is still strong.

I transferred some Euros into my account yesterday ready for next week when the Greencore rights issue is active.I am on holiday so I hope everything goes OK and I will be adding more shares once I have taken up my rights issue. When the UNIQ deal is done it will be interesting to see which market they are traded in as they have ambitions to get into the FTSE!

Saturday 30 July 2011

End of week round up

Some good bits this week with Red Rock Resources making a bit of a recovery and finishing above 7p. They have had a report on them by Edison group which is very positive and I am looking forward to Red Rock making good progress by the end of the year. This is one of my top slice shares.

Tristar Resources are also making some progress and are doing a joint venture to build an antimony processing plant. They wouldn't do that unless they had lots of antimony to process so again another one of my topslice shares.

Victoria oil and gas did a draw down of 600k GBP and as yet no-one is clear what it is for. However, the sp dropped a little but as each day passes we are getting closer to gas being delivered and revenues being generated.

Yesterday Greencore Group issued an RNS stating they had agreement to purchase UNIQ and this should happen by end of September. Slight concern for me is that I will be on holiday when the rights issue is carried out and I don't want to miss getting my shares and getting some more as well. I expect the sp to drop and then recover over the next few months.

My pf is still all red but I do see a few glimmers and it would be nice to see some blue by the end of August.

Tuesday 26 July 2011

Tristar Resources TSTR

A new RNS today where they have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding(MOU) to create a joint venture antimony processing plant capable of prducing 20000 tonnes of antimony pa, that's $320M pa!!!! OK there will be some dilution to fund the project but in the longer term this is a good move.

By contrast Edenville Energy is going from bad to worse and although theey have started drilling thee sp was down to 0.45/0.46p this morning and it was the top traded share yesterday and today. It seems that there are rather a lot of shares in issue and many of them are warrants of 0.02p each! If I am to make a profit here I am going to have to wait a long time. I should stick to my maxim of never going back to a share after I have sold out of it!

Porta Communications have changed some board members and news of an acquisition is expected by end of year now!! This did not do much for the sp and again this is looking more and more like a long term bet!

Thursday 21 July 2011

Same old, same old!!

I am having a weeks holiday at the moment but nothing much is happening. AIM seems to be following market forces, situation in USA, problems with the Euro and my shares are moving up and down like a cork bobbing in the water. I have just re-done my sell orders for the end of September and I am not very confident that any of them will sell.

GNC look promising with the takeover of UNIQ, VOG has had to buy out one of its partners in Cameroon and nothing is happening with PTCM. TSTR seem to be gaining a little momentum but nothing startling.Perhaps I will have to wait until after the summer for my shares to pick up!

Greencore Group

Big news today, first interim results which showed good sales and profits! Then takeover news of UNIQ and as a result the sp of UNIQ shares went up 22% and Greencore went down 11%!  Acquisition to be funded through a fully underwritten 5 for 6 rights issue at €0.46 per share to raise approximately €80.2 million, and a new debt facility. The Prospectus will be posted to Greencore Shareholders on or about 15 July 2011. Its all shaping up to be rather interesting!

Friday 8 July 2011

Red Rock Resources

I received 2 RNS for Red Rock, one last night and one this morning. The first was about Columbia and Greenland where last month they sold about $400000 of gold in Columbia and how they are getting on exploring for iron ore in Greenland. This morning's was about the Migori mine in Kenya and how their drilling and surveying of the site is progressing. I feel that this company is getting things together and shortly will have improved sufficiently for the sp to be in double figures. They give regular feedback so even if the progress is not fantastic, at least you know what is happening. Keep it up Andrew Bell!

Thursday 7 July 2011

Massive News Today!!

After 2 days where my internet connection has been down(Thanks SFR!!!), I find that Red Rock Resources has been doing well and the sp passed 8p before closing at 7.75p yesterday. Then today I have 3 RNS, from Edenville Energy, Victoria Oil and Gas and Pinnacle Telecom.

I read the Pinnacle Telecom on first, and they have acquired a new business which provides IP CCTV services. Although not a big acquisition, it is another set along the road to developing the company. So well done Alan Bonner!

The second and the best was from Victoria Oil and Gas, where they gave an update on the West Medvezhye site in Siberia. Here they are convinced that passive seismic surveys have found 400million barrels of oil and drilling commences in Q4 next year.

Finally, Edenville Energy issued a holdings notice, where Gradinex had reduced their holdings in the company, not good!

It will be interesting to see what the day brings on the market today!

Wednesday 29 June 2011

Edenville Energy EDL

Well I didn't re-buy ant BMR shares even though they were down to 4.05p! Instead I bought more Edenville Energy shares at 0.648p and today they closed at 0.75p so already I am getting some of the money I most on BMR back! It was interesting also that someone took out a spread bet for 1M GBP on Edenville, presumably that the price will rise. My original purchase was at 1.74p so if the sp gets back there then I will be nearly tripling my investment. If the sp gets above 0.92p then I will be breaking even. As the sp has been over 2p before then it seems a reasonable target.

I also had an RNS from Redrock today saying that Andrew Bell and another director had sold some shares, always a bad sign but later in the day an email popped up explaining the situation.

Dear Shareholders and Colleagues,

You may have seen that I and a colleague sold a few Red Rock shares this week.

Those of you who have been shareholders for a while will know that each time we exercise options, we also shortly after tend to sell a few to meet the immediate tax bill. In recent years, the tax regime on options has become quite unfavourable, and we have to pay income tax and NI on the difference between the exercise price and the market price, and do it promptly.

We do try to explain, and then the next time it happens, there are again some shareholders who worry that we are showing a lack of confidence in the company and sending a bad signal to the market.

So, for the avoidance of doubt, let me clarify that if and when I am in a position to sell options in the future, it is highly probable that I will again be obliged to sell some to meet tax obligations. I will not enjoy doing it, and this will say nothing about my view on the stock price.

The options we exercised in May expired at the end of May, so had to be exercised or lost. My colleague and I are selling about half of those we recently acquired, so that our shareholdings at the end of June are higher, not lower, than our shareholdings at the beginning of May. This has also been the case with past sales following exercise of options: each time the holding of shares at the end of the exercise is higher than it was before.

There is never a ‘right time’ for directors to sell, and I do assure you of our complete commitment to and confidence in the company.

Andrew

So  it seemed a reasonable explanation and the sp closed up on the day so all's well that ends well!

Monday 27 June 2011

Berkeley Mineral Resources BMR

Ok, so it is a really bad day on the markets and BMR is down. Tomorrow 145M new shares will be released onto the market so I decided to sell my BMR shares and try a short on BMR for today and then close the short tomorrow and buy some more BMR shares cheaper. Unfortunately, TD Waterhouse don't do short selling so I have sold my BMR shares at a loss and now hope that I can buy them back tomorrow at about 3.9p so that I end up with more shares! Will it work, I don't know but I feel it is worth a try!

I have had some more RNS today, I from BMR saying they know of no reason for the sp to drop! Perhaps they aren't aware of the effect of dilution on share price!

The second, I didn't actually receive but found on the LSE BB, and this was the 6 months results for PINN which were very good. Sales up, profit up but the sp didn't do anything much:(

Then one from Red Rock saying that Jupiter Mines had started a feasability study and also saying that their issue of equity will take place on 30th not 29th of June.

Finally, I had 1 from EDL saying that Nomura International had increased their stake in the company.

So all in all, a lot going on when there was chaos in the market. In fact I am thinking of staying out of BMR all together as I have lost confidence in the company.

Thursday 23 June 2011

A day of RNS!!

I have had 3 RNS today, 1 from Greencore and  2 from Red Rock. The Greencore one was mildly good as it stated that Sheffield Partners had slightly increased their holding  and it had crossed the 5% threshold!

The first from Red Rock was that they were issuing another 16,666,666 shares to raise 1M GBP and the second was a total voting rights RNS saying that they now had 723,983,283 shares in issue! I rang them to find out why they needed to raise more funds but no-one was available but later on the LSE board SpikeyDT posted this letter from them explaining the need for cash.

You may have seen that we issued shares at 6p today, in a placement to raise £1m before expenses.

Apart from our recent exercise of the right to acquire 51% of Mineras Four Points SA, we have a continuing exploration programme, and had a tax bill of over £800,000 to pay (a problem of success!), so our outflows in the first half of 2011 have certainly exceeded what we planned for at the beginning of the year.

We have been arranging, as we announced, a long-term facility which we want to complete soon. However, as our financial year end is 30 June, we need a plan B in case the receipt of funds from this facility is after rather than before 30 June, since we have to publish our balance sheet as at the end of June, and there is little point in spending more this year on a better produced and more informative Annual Report if the first page people turn to does not give a fair picture of our underlying financial strength.

You may have seen the encouraging upgrade and expansion in Resource at Resource Star’s Livingstonia uranium project, announced yesterday. We hope soon to have similar news from Cue. At the moment, uranium is not to the market’s taste, but outside the OECD delays to the building programme for nuclear reactors are not expected, and that is what counts, not Germany.

Jupiter continues to make great progress, but this has not been reflected in the share price. We believe the quality is there, and quality will out.

In Colombia, the improvements from here we hope to be in leaps and bounds rather than tiny steps, as has been the case recently. Progress is progress, but rapid progress is what was needed and what we now aim for.

In Kenya, the exploration effort is so intense that although we have staffed up, we are always undermanned, but as we have consistently said, there should be a steady news flow in the second half of the year and we have great ambitions for progress.

Greenland sees a virgin exploration territory getting attention from our ten-man geological team. We had encouraging results recently from the satellite ASTER interpretation, with one 3.5km feature previously mapped as sandstone (to take just one example) now understood to be a prominent iron ore feature and therefore a priority target. If we map and sample and find no major targets at the end of the season, we may of course walk away, because there is no point in such a latitude looking for anything but a major deposit, but we have fair prospects of success.

So the message is that all is well, and we see steady progress. We cannot blame shareholders who are impatient with the share price, and hate to see us raise money at low prices, but in sailing our boat we sometimes have the wind behind us and sometimes in our face, and we have learned, like sailors, to be patient. T

So, it seems reasonable and the letter was quite upbeat. Lets hope that the sp moves north after the shares are admitted to the market next week.

Wednesday 22 June 2011

Berkeley Mineral Resources BMR

Well they finally issued their RNS this morning on the acquisition of Kabwe and as I suspected there was not much reaction on the sp. There were 22M shares traded in the first 15 minutes but the sp moved only 0.3p!! The RNS announced that there would be a placing of 145M shares at 4p next Tuesday and with each 2 shares there would be an excisable warrant for 6p a share. In other words more dilution! There won't be a JORC RNS until the end of July so I don't see much upward movement in the sp before August. I still have my sell order and it runs out on the 1st August so it will be interesting to see whether it is triggered!

Update: This morning the sp has fallen to just over 5p as many shareholders have got fed up and are selling to use their money elsewhere. I have thought about selling and buying in at a lower price but I am afraid I am afraid I might get caught out if the sp rises! I see that this is going to fall to around or even below 4p next Tuesday but I am still holding and may top up to lower my average price if it goes lower. Difficult times on the AIM market at the moment but there should be news on some of my shares in the next week!

Tuesday 21 June 2011

Victoria Oil and Gas (VOG)

Despite the market being in chaos, Victoria Oil and Gas is doing OK. Since yesterday the sp has been blue whilst many other shares are red! OK its not setting the world alight but it is holding up well.

At the weekend, a poster posted an alleged email from Masoud Alikhani; the main man at BMR, suggesting that the Kabwe deal was done and an RNS would be issued shortly. Whether it was real or not I don't know but in light of that you would expect the sp to rise, more volume etc. Instead the sp has fallen and currently stands at 5.49p so it is not doing well.

Things are not going well at Edenville Energy EDL where the sp has dropped substantially and is currently 0.7p. I bought at 1.75p and the fundamentals have not changed but the sp is doing badly. Yesterday they issued an RNS saying Gradinex had sold some of their holding and crossed the 10% barrier and today they issued an RNS saying that Barnard Nominees had increased their holding to 13.74%!! So funny old times

Saturday 18 June 2011

Weekly Roundup

Well, it's been a bad week in the markets with the Greek debt crisis. My portfolio is down 30% as are many other peoples'. I just read an interesting article stating that a number of hedge funds are going long on gold and short on gold miners! There was a similar situation to this in 2008 and it recovered about 7 months later. I am not panicking and not selling any shares at a loss as I don't need to realise the cash at the moment.

June is the month when there should be news from a number of companies and there is only 2 weeks left so I am hoping for a little excitement soon. I am expecting news on PTCM, PINN, BMR and RRR are committed to giving an update RNS every fortnight!

VOG is slumped down around 4p when it should be approaching 7p but in Q4 the situation should improve dramatically. It is interesting to note that Cameroon are keen to develop industry in the country and for that VOG are well positioned to supply gas for factories and homes.

Friday 17 June 2011

Red Rock Resources PLC RRR

I bought into Red Rock Resources PLC yesterday as they had just issued a good RNS. They are engaged in gold mining in Chile and Kenya and have interests in Australia also. They are producing gold, which is good and means that they have revenue coming in. The management have just been out to Chile and whilst they were there the output improved as did the % of gold mined. If they can keep this up then I will be looking for the sp to move up soon.

Thursday 16 June 2011

Markets take a hammering!

Big problems in Greece yesterday and today the market is down. Many shares have fallen but not all. Mine shares that are holding up well are Alternative Energy and Pinnacle Telecoms! My BMR shares and VOG have fallen just over 2%. If I was not significantly topped up then I would buy some more of both but particularly VOG as I see them rising by October. The other share that I am keeping an eye on is VIR as I will buy back in if it falls below 0.5p. It has been up to 1.1p last week and on news I feel it will go up again. Time will tell!

Monday 13 June 2011

Victoria Oil and Gas VOG

Victoria Oil and Gas   issued an RNS this morning and for me the best bit was "a further 10 GSAs which have been contractually agreed subject to legal due diligence and final approval."
Certainly VOG are keeping shareholders up to date as their website is an example to others Whilst the sp has fallen of late I see no reeason for this and with 10 more customers almost signed up, when the gas starts flowing in Q4 then the money should start flowing in. This is my biggest holding and I see no reason not to continue to have full confidence in the company

With revenues flowing it will enable then to explore their site in Cameroon more and West Med in Siberia. Go VOG GO!!

Friday 10 June 2011

Berkeley Mineral Resources PLC (BMR)

Berkeley Mineral Resources PLC issued and RNS this morning which was not quite was expected. Basically it said that the Kabwe Due Diligence had been completed and they were moving towards completion of the deal! It also said that BMR are not going to proceed with the acquisition of another business in Zambia which would have advanced their plans by 10 months as it was too expensive.

So they raised money via dilution they didn't need and have put back production by 10 months. The net result was that this morning the sp fell by 7% and dropped below 6p. The sages! on the BBs think that this is just getting bad news out the way before a good RNS next week!!! Perhaps they are right but I would like to get out of this share quickly and put the money back into Viridas.

TOO LATE Viridas up 46% this morning!!

Monday 6 June 2011

Recovery day today!

No RNS from BMR this morning but a little bit of blue from VOG and PTCM and then just now an RNS from Edenville Energy saying that UBS had bought 228M shares, 6% of the company. That is a bit of positive news and hopefully we will see the sp rise back over 1p soon.
Nice to see Porta Communications rise by 11%  and it would be nice to see them put out a positive RNS and go back up to 0.3p. We will have to see!

Saturday 4 June 2011

Weekly Round-up

Well despite my success with Viiridas this week, my pf is looking under the weather as the AIM market has taken a bit of a battering and I don't think I am alone.
Greencore, Pinnacle Telecom, Alternative Energy Ltd and IMIC have just about stayed the same. However, Edenville Energy has dropped to 0.87p, less than when I first bought it last year! Idon't know what is happening with VOG, perhaps people are getting bored with waiting and selling but it has fallen to the level I first bought in at nearly 15 months ago despite now have its Licence and beingin a position to start selling gas by the end of the year!
BMR is very disappointing in that nothing has been confirmed and the sp just drifts downwards, I was able to buy some more share to lower my average but that is scant comfort!
TSTR has drifted downwards as there is nothing likely to happen before September.
PTCM has drifted down to 0.12p as there has been no news. There must be a statement by end of June soI hope it picks up then.
At the end of the day my pf is down 25% so it is not looking well. However, I am holding and am confident that I will make a profit in due course. I believe my policy of spreading the risk is sensible and I need to now consider holding cash in my trading account to take advantage of market movements.

Friday 3 June 2011

Edenville Energy! EDL

Edenville Energy issued an RNS today with their Final Results. These were interesting because they appear to have sufficient funding to carry out drilling for a JORC compliant resource, they have 6 mining licences and thermal quality coal,so things are looking promising. The news was greeted by an improvement in the sp.

Still now news from BMR so we will have to wait until next week before the much heralded announcement of the Kabwe acquisition is published!

Thursday 2 June 2011

Viridas PLC (VIR)

I'm afraid I couldn't help myself yesterday, the sp of Viridas was moving up and I cancelled my sell order and sold all of my shares. I bought at o.35p last week and sold at 0.6181p yestreday netting £650 from an investment of £882! Because it was Negotiated Trade some of the time, I put in a limit order for 0.58p and went for a cycle ride with my son. When I came back TD Waterhouse had sold them at 0.6181p, so well done TDW! In hindsight I might have made an error because I could have sold 148k shares and kept 100k shares riding free but what's done is done. Better than putting my money in the bank!

Yesterday, there was a lot of excitement about what info may come out of the mining conference where Masoud Alikhani was speaking. The general belief is that the deal is almost done, the money and paperwork is in escrow, and an RNS should be issued next week. Based on that information I increased my holdings in Berkeley Mineral Resources and have put a sell order in for 10.5p, to sell about two thirds of my shares. I intend to top slice these shares come what may as I haven't achieved that yet!

Yesterday was also the AGM of Tristar Resources and they intend to be in full production of antimony by the end of 2012! They are doing some more drilling testing and the results will be available with their interim results on 30th September! We will have to wait and see what happens.

Wednesday 1 June 2011

Alternative Energy Ltd (ALR)

Alternative Energy Ltd posted their interim results yesterday and they were telling us little new. The company is still making a loss as a result of initial development work. The staff are committed to the company and are taking shares as part of their remuneration package, a good sign. Chris Nightingale is continuing to back the company and having spoken to him recently, I am happy that ALR are on the right track. What they need to do now is to generate some sales. Once that starts to happen then the future of the company will change for the better.

No RNS from Berkeley Resources again today  so the wait continues.Masoud Alikhani, the CEO, is addressing a mining conference today and many thought that an RNS would be issued to coincide with that.

Viridas PLC is flying agin today!! 0.5/0.6p and up 17%. Over 9M shares traded this morning and some meaty buys going on. It was on the volume board of LSE yesterday and I wouldn't be surprised if it was there again today. Just need an RNS saying where the company is going. I have put my sell order in again today for 0.7p but I am not expecting it to make it today!

Tuesday 31 May 2011

Today's RNS

I received 2 RNS this morning, one for Greencore and one for Pinnacle Telecom. Interestingly, nothing for BMR!
The Grenncore RNS was to say that Sheffield Asset Management had increased their stake in the company. This was only a small increase but I think it is always better that someone is increasing their stake, showing confidence, than decreasing!

The Pinnacle Telecom RNS was to say that they had another contract for T in the Park in Scotland and that they had successfully completed their Chelsea Flower Show contract over the weekend. This had the effect of moving the sp up a little this morning but I don't see any major rise happening until after their results at the end of June.

The big movement this morning was Viridas who were up 24% at time of blogging and that without an RNS. There is something brewing because all the trades are still being reported as sells and on my TD Waterhouse account any dummy sell is NT only!! I have put a limit order in for today only of 0.75p to topslice my shares, if it sells I will be running on free shares. We will have to see!

Monday 30 May 2011

Viridas PLC (VIR)

Well, call me niaive but I think Viridas PLC is going to take off very soon. All the trades are being reported as sells even though they are buys. Bruce Rowan has 22% of the company and I firmly that an RNS will be issued soon showing where the company is going. The bid is currently at 0.4p and I bought at 0.35p when the spread was 0.35/0.5p so there are a lot of MM games going on. I think my target here is to topslice when it gets to 0.75p so that I still have 100k shares riding free.I may be talking complete rubbish but watch this space.

Tomorrow is the big day for BMR. Everyone seems to think that the sp is going to rocket when an RNS is issued  saying that the Kabwe purchase has been completed. I hope they are right but I am not holding my breath! I have seen this sort of expectation before and then there is a placing and the sp falls. I hope I am wrong but tomorrow will provide the info.

Friday 27 May 2011

Viridas PLC (VIR)

Positive RNS from Viridas this morning stating that Bruce Rowan has 22% of the company after buying 100M of the 420M shares recently issued. I think that is a positive move and lets hope that it is followed in due course with an announcment of some activity in Oil and Gas or Mining.

TSTR also issued an RNS yesterday afternoon saying that they had assay samples at 1.2km from the Goynuk mine containing gold and antimony. It was a bland RNS and didn't have a positive affect on the shares what we are looking for is drill results to prove commercial resources. However, with gold and antimony that far from the mine it has got to be good news.

Wednesday 25 May 2011

Viridas PLC (VIR)

I decided to sell my GMA Resources shares yesterday as I didn't see any likelihood of them going anywhere soon. I took a small loss but that is a calculated risk.

I picked up some vibes about Viridas PLC on the BBs and put my money in there. I bought nearly 250k shares at 0.35p each. Viridas is a company that did have an interest in Biomass products in Brazil but was not doing very well!
On May 10th they basically changed the company, issued new share capital and are now into investing into permits, licences, joint ventures in Africa, South America, Australasia and Eastern Europe. Obviously early days yet but could be one to put away and forget and then when they do do something I might have made some dosh. On the other hand it may fare as well as the last exercise ie badly! We will see

Tuesday 24 May 2011

Good RNS

This morning I had 2 RNS alerts. The first was for Pinnacle Telecom stating that they had won the contract for the Women's Open Golf Tournament. This was another step forward and itwill be interesting to see their interim results which will be out in June.

The second RNS was for Greencore Group which was their Interim Results and these showed a 7.9% growth in sales and 1.7% growth in profit. They had also reduced their bank interest debt by 30% so not a bad result.

It will be interesting to see how the sp of these 2 companies is affected today!

Just had an RNS for GMA Resources, not too exciting as they have issued 5M shares to  cover a loan issued in 2007. Small dilution but I amkeen to find out what affect that will have and why it was converted now!

Monday 23 May 2011

Greencore Group

What is happening at Greencore? First I see tahat they have recently installed 2 robots to improve their packaging of lasagne. Then I see that they are keen to sell the company. With the  results out tomorrow things may be a little clearer but it is certainly a turnaround in ambition.

Sunday 22 May 2011

Weekly Round-up

Well it has been a very boring 2 months really, I haven't sold a thing or made any money since 1st April!! Generally the markets have been quiet, OK some shares have been moving and people have been making money but not my shares. I am looking forward to May 24th then the GNC results are out. I won't be selling my shares as I keep these  for the dividend and plan to top up just as soon as I make some money! I have confidence in the company and I hope that they continue to do well.

May 27th should be 2 months up for the Due Diligence for BMR and I hope that the sp goes up. There is a lot of hype about this shatre but I don't have any positive feelings for it and want to get out at a profit as soon as possible!

I don't know what is happening with VOG as the sp is up and down daily. Everyone thought that the sp would soar when the licence was granted but it hasn't. Now it looks as though nothing much will happen until the gas starts to sell in Q4.

There have been flurries of excitement with PTCM but there should be some news by end of June as to whether any acquisitions have been made. I intend to sell some ofmy shares and keep 500k shares to see where the share goes long term. If I can topslice and just have free shares then that will be fine. It is my plan with VOG as well, to leave 30k shares as free shares.

However, for the moment it is just a matter of patience and wait for the sp to rise!

Wednesday 18 May 2011

GMA Resources

I bought into GMA Resources yesterday and am waitingfor year end results at the end of June. They are producing gold in Southern Algeria and with the increase in the price of gold, I am hoping that they have made a profit. The sp has been a lot higher but they have made losses for the past few years. The sp was 5p not so long ago and I bought at 1.4375p so a rise over 2p would suit me nicely.

This morning we had a letter from VOG on current position. It was all very positive and for a few momentswhen the market opened, the sp went up then went back down again. I am still holding out for my 10p sp but I may have to wait until they start selling gas which will be in Q4.

Monday 16 May 2011

Edenville Energy! EDL

Edenville Energy issued an update RNS this morning stating that they are fully funded and ready to start drilling in 6 weeks time! Good news as people have become a little nervous and the sp has fallen from 1.75p which I bought at to 1.05p last week The sp has started to move up a little now and the share is being ramped across LSE boards.

Following my post about GNC last week the sp has been rising this morning so hopefully it will continue to rise as the interim results are next Tuesday! I could do with a little success as I still haven't sold anything for over 6 weeks!!!

The markets are very depressed today because of the situation in Greece and its possible renegotiation ofits debts, plus the  arrest of D Strauss-Kahn in New York on rape charges has had an effect on the Euro. Makes people more risk averse.

Saturday 14 May 2011

Greencore Group

Greencore have got their interim results coming up on May 24th. Their chart for the last 6 months shows that they may be beginning to move upwards prior to that date. After the last results the sp rose to €1.47, however, this was when they were hoping to merge with Northern Foods. There are some broker targets suggesting in excess of €1.35 so the next 10 days will be interesting. I was hoping to top up with funds from VOG but no luck as yet. They are currently paying a dividend of just over 6% and are therefore, better than cash in the bank! I hope their interims are satisfactory.

Thursday 12 May 2011

Berkeley Mineral Resources PLC (BMR)

BMR issued and RNS yesterday which said they were issuing 145M shares to raise money to buy a company to process the material and that it would save 10 months production!! Net result was the sp went down! They seem more interested in purchasing other companies than in getting on with the job of getting lead and zinc from the tailings dumps. On the BBs there are lots of people ramping the share and shooting out sp projections of up to £1 but I can't see tht happening for many years if ever. The next ramped figure is 27p by end of June! That is four and a half times the current sp and it is not going to happen. If it gets to 10p by end of June I will be amazed.

I was going to do a top up of BMR yesterday but changed my mind and topped up 34000 share in VOG as I see that as a nobrainer. They have the licence, they are laying the pipes, gas will be supplied before the end of the year. If this gets to 10p then I will be making some nice profits. I have £8000+ of VOG shares and if it got to10p then they would be worth £14000+ so I would be well on my way to my £25000 year end target.
I could have bought BMR for 5.59p yesterday and sold at 6.25p today making £200 profit and then bought VOG today!! Hindsight is a wonderful thing!

Tuesday 10 May 2011

Victoria Oil and Gas VOG

What a pants day on the markets as far as my pf was concerned!! Nearly everything was down except for Pinnacle Telecoms and VOG closed last night at 5.71 and hit a low of 5.05p today. Despite the decree, the sp has not performed well this week. If I had sold yesterday, I could have bought more shares today for the same money!! There was some talk of perhaps more dilution but I think it is more normal to have a dilution when the sp has risen otherwise the company is not maximising its opportunities.. The last share issue was after the sp rose to nearly 7p and the issue price was 4.95p!
TSTR is waiting for news as is BMR but their sp's fell today. There was quite low volume of trades on my pf so it is no wonder shares have been depressed. Still as they say, tomorrow is another day!

Monday 9 May 2011

Pinnacle Telecom Group plc (PINN)

Pinnacle Telecom Group sp is holding up well at the moment. Other than the results of a good Royal Wedding coverage and Local Election coverage there has been no news and yet the sp has been holding up well and moving very slowly towards 0.5p. It needs some positive news like gaining the Olympic contract to move it beyond the stubborn resistance level of 0.5p. The broker target sp is 0.95p and I think that if it can break the 0.5p resistance then it will make good progress towards that.
Victoria Oil and Gas is moving very slowly. I have a sell order in for 10p but I can't see that happening for a while. Today I started doing calculations about day trading the other 30000 shares I have. I could have sold today at 5.83 but could only have bought back at 5.7p so not a lot of point really. I need a minimum of 0.3p difference between selling and buying to make it worth while. Otherwise I might not be able to buy back in and then see it surge up towards 10p!! Back to the waiting game!

Victoria Oil and Gas VOG

Victoria Oil and Gas have got their licence and on good terms. SNH, the Cameroon state oil company has a 5% stake which was negotiated in 2001, whereas later companies have had to give a higher percentage. Gas should be delivered in Q4 this year which will generate revenue. In addition, VOG have bid for exploration permits in Liberia, they are still awaiting settlement of their Kermerkol field even though it has been written off in their accounts and finally, the jewel ion the crown is the West Med field, next to Gazprom in Russia.
VOG’s future now looks a lot brighter and with 28M shares traded after hours on Friday, I believe that the opening sp should be higher tomorrow.

Victoria Oil and Gas VOG

AT LAST!!!!!!! Victoria Oil and Gas VOG have finally got their exploitation licence!! The sp immediately shotup from 4.5p to just over 6p.  I have a sell order in for 10p but it may be some time before that is executed, we will have to see. However, it means that if I sell then I will have funds for GNC and TSTR and still have 30000 free shares in VOG as I will have topsliced, ie sold sufficient shares to cover my initial outlay and some profit so the shares that remain have effectively cost nothing!.I bought my first VOG shares on 26March 2010 so I have waited a while. Just a bit more patience is needed now to achieve my goals.
